The Ascot Feature Rankings Posted on November 11, 2020 | Posted by Digby Beacham WA GUINEAS (1600m), November 21 1 — SNICKERDOODLEDANDY: No reason to abandon ship here. Will start favourite on Saturday in the WA Champion Fillies Stakes and if she runs to expectations and Dan Morton backs her up, is the one to beat. 2 — MAGICAL DREAM: Remains in second position. Lost no admirers in the Burgess Queen Stakes last Tuesday. 3 — DOM TO SHOOT: Happy to stick with this fellow. Closed intently off a slow speed in the Fairetha Stakes (1400m). Will appreciate a fast-run Guineas. 4 — KISSONALLFORCHEEKS: Smart filly. If she backs up alongside stablemate Snickerdoodledandy, the boys better look out. 5 — WESTERN EMPIRE: Still very raw, but blessed with ability. Huge in the Fairetha when edged out by Kallaroo despite tramping wide. RAILWAY STAKES (1600m), November 21 1 — INSPIRATIONAL GIRL: Enters the feature off a three-week gap, just as Galaxy Star did in 2018. Is on the minimum. 2 — KAY CEE: Absolutely love this mare. Huge in the Lee-Steere Stakes. Proven WFA performer. Has to give Inspirational Girl 3kg. 3 — PLATOON: Third in the race in 2019 and will appreciate the drop to 53kg again this year. 4 — KEMENTARI: We can argue all day about how genuine he is. The fact is, he was terrific in the Lee-Steere given the run he had. 5 — RED CAN MAN: Will hit the Railway fifth run in after putting in arguably the best effort of his campaign in the Lee-Steere. Would love to draw six or inside. WINTERBOTTOM STAKES (1200m), November 28 1 — TREKKING: High-class Godolphin sprinter and has the service of William Pike. Nothing more to add. 2 — STAGEMAN: Going OK is this bloke. Huge in the Prince Of Wales Stakes after bombing the start. 3 — INDIAN PACIFIC: Handled his biggest test superbly in the Crawford Stakes. No reason to suggest he won’t run well again in the traditional lead-up this weekend, the Group 3 Colonel Reeves Stakes. 4 — VALOUR ROAD: Did it tough in the Prince Of Wales and still saluted. Stable knows how to train a sprinter. 5 — ELITE STREET: As much as he looks unders in the TABtouch market at $7.25, there is no denying he is airborne. KINGSTON TOWN (1800m), December 5 1 — KAY CEE: Multiple WFA winner and back to her best in the Lee-Steere. The 1800m looks perfect. 2 — INSPIRATIONAL GIRL: Remains at No.2. Is a winner and can run fractions. 3 — MAGICAL DREAM: Could well have the services of one William Pike. Live hope. 4 — SNICKERDOODLEDANDY: Chris Parnham feels the Snitzel filly could deliver him a Group 1. That’s a good enough push. 5 — MATERIAL MAN: Advancing in years, but his lead-up trials have been impressive. Best when fresh. PERTH CUP (2400m), January 2 1 — TRULY GREAT: Has super point-to-point speed and is bred to relish the journey. 2 — NEUFBOSC: Caught the eye fresh and will be back at Ascot this weekend. 3 — MISSILE LAUNCH: Genuine stayer and has recaptured his best form. 4 — TAXAGANO: Not disgraced in the Lee-Steere. Is racing with renewed zest. 5 — TOO CLOSE THE SUN: Good first-up and runs in the RJ Peters Stakes (1500m) this weekend before backing up in the Railway. Deserves respect.
