Five starts ago ran second at Pinjarra to Arizona Sky, two starts later finished second at Bunbury behind Bob The Baker and most recent has run into now C1 winner Partay and handy type American Image. Going well enough to win this, just needs to overcome a tricky draw and may need to be put into the contest early. ACOUSTIC BUBBLES was sent out a $2.70 favourite last start but never got into the contest behind Sainty Cullity. Prior to that had the measure of key rivals PRINCE OF BONDI and MAD SPITFIRE who are both likely to take up prominent positions over the speed and have both promised to win a maiden for a long while in Kal. Numbers: 3 – 7 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet – LORD MOMO WIN Race 2 PEANUT BUTTER comes through the Dawn Dancer (since won a 2 year old Saturday) and Delzee (now a plunge provincial maiden winner) form reference and really everything he has done this prep has been excellent. Second to now C1 and 3 year old Saturday winner Common Touch first-up, 3L off now C1 winner Forgotten Son second-up and then held his own in a high rating maiden most recently. Right race this. EIGHTYSEVEN LAD will hold the tactical advantage. Was rolled as $1.60 favourite last start but they swap blinkers for visors and he comes back to 1100m. Should roll to the top and prove hard to get past. OUR ENCHANTRESS was only 2L off On Cue last start and that race produced impressive midweek winner Dirty Habits at Bunbury. JOYHOUSE ROCK could run a race fresh in shades. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 9 – 8 Suggested Bet – PEANUT BUTTER WIN Race 3 GOD’S GRIN looks well placed by Team Pearce. There was a Westspeed Platinum Mile available to him at Belmont on Saturday which they have bypassed in preference for this 61+ 1760 and considering he was only 2L off talented 3 year old Two Time Charlie in a 60+ Graduation last start you’d have to think he’ll have a decent following heading to Kal on a Sunday afternoon. Can kick through to park leader’s back (or even entertain leading?) and should be given every chance. IDEALLY gets big weight relief. Has carried 59.5/60kg at her last three and in her most recent she was desperately unlucky as a beaten favourite. Looks the big danger. OMERTA GRACE will appreciate getting out of the wet/sticky tracks in Perth. Should be peaking now. JAYASHREE was smashed in betting last start and then may have choked down? Tongue tie on here. Numbers: 3 – 5 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – GOD’S GRIN WIN Race 4 MYZOOM jumps off the page. She finished a narrow second to Shimonoseki four starts back (since won another C3 at Belmont and ran second to emerging star filly Western Miss in a Grad last weekend) and then two starts later finished within 1L of Effortlessly in a 60+ Graduation at Belmont Park. Finds a Country C2, has the tactical speed and versatility to sit in the box seat and provided Laqdar Ramoly can push clear on straightening she should take a power of beating. LENDANEAR rolled forward last start in a C2 1400 and just never stopped. Reproduces that run and is the danger. BATISTA was really well supported last start but never really got into the race at any stage. Big watch with Lucy going on. I NEVER DREAMED is racing consistently. Numbers: 1 – 7 – 3 – 9 Suggested Bet – MYZOOM WIN Race 5 DREAMERS NEVER DIE is a bit of a test of patience for punters. In his four runs this prep he’s gone under at $6, $1.85, $3 and $3.10. Racing well, just seems to take a long time to hit top gear. Going one more time (one last time). Perfect map for him to sit behind the leaders and pounce late. SCIENCE DEGREE is 6 weeks between runs, 70+ back to 58+ and has a winnable weight after the 3kg claim for Jason Li. If he can hold out Vomo Island, Queen of Hawks / Chipilly early and lead then he should be right in the thick of things from start to finish. Class runner. DOOR BUSTER absolutely bolted in last start this track/distance/grade. 1100 seems to be his sweet spot. THE LIONS’ GATE will get the speed on early to suit his pattern. Losing regular rider Ramoly not ideal though. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 7 – 4 Suggested Bet – DREAMERS NEVER DIE WIN Race 6 TREBLE MAKER looks to have the ideal set up here to win first-up for the powerful combination of Fernie & Fiore. In on the minimum (Lucy rides half over at 54.5kg), maps a treat from a favourable gate and quite simply the Graduation/66+ metro form of last campaign is better than the vast majority of rivals. Two starts ago finished less than 1.5L off now Listed winner Jaz Session. Raced against now Northam Stakes winner Smooth Chino in a 66+. It’s all super. CLEANEMUP gets big weight relief. 51kg after the Jason Li claim and was less than 2L ff Conducive two back. Can settle a lot closer than recent runs too. BOAB BOY will get a long way back, that’s a concern under the weight. PLAYING GAMES has shades added to sharpen her up back in trip. Numbers: 12 – 8 – 2 – 7 Suggested Bet – TREBLE MAKER WIN Race 7 MORF never looked like being run down last start. Lucy Fiore found the top and controlled and kicked well clear of them late. Should be the ideal apprentices horse and Jason Li can use his 3kg claim to advantage by burning across early from out deep in a race with plenty of midfield/backmarking types. ALOTTA FIGHTING could easily have won his last three. The most recent run was outrageously good behind Deeply Rooted, when turned sideways on straightening and then picking up to sprint without any momentum when somehow getting within a short head of the winner who enjoyed all the favours. Barrier 16/16 – ugly. Horse – flying. ALEBRIJE ran well at her first outing in Kal behind the in form Queen Selyse. DANCEWITHME now cops 61kg. Hard to pick up under that weight. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 4 – 2 Suggested Bet – MORF WIN Race 8 FRIAR’S LEGACY is running out of chances but this is a nice bit of placement into a c58+ by Team Pearce and always like seeing the senior rider go back on. He seems to float a bit when they ride him without cover, so expect he’ll land nearly 1×1 here and from that position you’d be disappointed if he didn’t contest the finish. His run two back behind now Saturday winner Common Touch wins this. Time to stand up. FIVE DOWN is an enigma. There’s a few different versions of him, but if he jumps cleanly and gives Lucy Fiore a chance to ride her own race then he’s got the talent to win. RIVERCREST MAGIC is going along quite well. HIGH PRECISON has been in super form all campaign, but the gate and weight both hurt.
