Sunshine Coast 16 January – Thoroughbreds Preview Posted on January 15, 2016January 15, 2016 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Preview RACE 2 No.6 Pienkna Tony Gollan trained mare who resumed with a dashing all the way win at Ipswich in December. Stepped up in grade on Boxing Day at the Gold Coast she wasn’t the best to jump before being held up early in the straight, out late she ran on okay and clearly should have finished closer. Look for her to roll forward tomorrow with a shortage of early speed in the race. Looks good value. RACE 4 No.3 Lordag Very consistent galloper from the Heathcote stable who is just busting to win a race. May have found the front too early when run down here at the Sunshine Coast a fortnight back by Little Brown Horse, prior to that finished a solid closing second behind Centre Pivot at Doomben. Drops in grade tomorrow and should get a perfect run from the inside draw. With the last crack at them he can break back into the winners circle. RACE 6 No.6 Heart Skipt A Beat Liam Birchley trained 2yo who rattled home here two weeks back over 1000m. Prior to that was a fast finishing 2nd at Doomben over 1110m behind Dieters. That all suggests the 1200m coupled with the long run home tomorrow will suit this daughter of Falvelon down to the ground. At over each-way odds in pre post markets looks extremely good value.
