Race 1

Plenty of talent in this race. ISEEUBABY (4) is a horse with an abundance of high speed and loves the shorter trip and can get fiery, looks to charge out and likely lead and be hard to run down but is first up. HALFMOONBAY (8) is suited dropping back to a mile, he’s really been surging lately in his races and sustaining the run, will be getting home the best. HEAVY METAL HAMMER (3) will charge out and can be close to the speed, can get into the money. ART IDEAL (5) unlikely to lead with TAKE A HIKE (6) but both are racing well. ULTIMATE ZIPPER (7) has risen to every challenge but the local gets the visitors draw and will have to be better again.

Suggested Bet: HALFMOONBAY (8) each way.

Race 2

FROM TIGERLAND (6) returns to Michael Callegari and may need the run but has been ideally placed and looks the winner on paper, has the draw advantage and is highly talented. BEATITLIKEBECA (7) led a race where he was crushed by FROM TIGERLAND (6) two starts ago, comes in fresh as well and hard to see him turning the tables from the disadvantage. CANELO (12) is racing well, won’t be an easy task from the draw but expecting a strong finish on current form. BETTOR WASH UP (2) has trialled well before having a long time out, showed speed in that trial and can be a top 4 player in this with LOWLANDS BEACH BOY (1) and TAYLORS BOY FRED (8).

Race 3

DUNCAN TWENTYTWO (7) gets the big opportunity, was something beaten last time out and returned well prior to that, looks a suitable grade and appears very hard to beat here. JORDANO (5) has an awkward draw to work with but cannot dismiss the consistency of the form, map could be tricky but expecting to be on speed. BETTOR BE BUCKS (1) has the nice draw and first up for Giles Inwood, could be a big watch after this run. MADAM TIGER (4) has some decent speed and could challenge to lead early and then has options, place claims. MAJOR BUZZ (10) first up for Michael Young and must be respected, his form was still good enough to be competitive in this. JACK MANNIX (9) has tricks.

Suggested Bet: DUNCAN TWENTYTWO (7) to win.

Race 4

Open race. BALINGUP BOY (5) likely looks to head forward in this and can do some work in this grade and think he’ll go close with any type of racing luck. SPORTING GRACE (1) should improve off that return run, has the speed to lead early and has options at the middle distance. HONOUR THE EAGLE (2) likely to run the gate hard and is racing consistently. ELEPHANT ROCK (9) can punch through and settle close enough and will be running on strongly. SIR ALEC WHITBY (10) has good closing speed when saved up for one run. MY LITTLE BIG MAN (11) is capable, and form has been against stronger but has just been making up the numbers in recent runs. ISLAND TEE REX (7) not a bad type but draw hurts.

Suggested Bet: ELEPHANT ROCK (9) each way.

Race 5

MEDIEVAL MAN (6) is racing well, last two runs have been brilliant, and he has been racing with renewed zest this time in, will be looking to eye off the position outside the leader and will be hard to hold out from there. LONGREACH BAY (7) has brilliant gate speed and could cross these and is a bold front runner, go well here. TA IN ADVANCE (1) has the nice draw to improve, not racing at the same level as 6-8 weeks ago but gains a better draw to improve his chances. BLAZE AWAY (3) is a winning chance if he could lead but is on the quick backup so he is a watch. FOLLOW ROCKNROLL (8) will be thundering home, likely to be three back the pegs and will be doing his best work late and could look dangerous. SAIFA (10) could be an improver, he has raced some nice types since returning and fitness should be spot on now.

Suggested Bet: MEDIEVAL MAN (6) to win.

Race 6

OF CLAUS IM GOOD (6) is a raw talent and might need a few runs to bring him on but think his natural ability can win him this race on return, was a late scratching at Pinjarra when taken out at the barrier, expecting him to go well here. MAJOR MOVES (7) was ordinary on return, but the track was muddy and may have needed the run, fitness will improve and has shown good ability. HIGHVIEW ROZI (3) is racing with good consistency and shouldn’t be too far away. SHERICKA (4), WHERES MY HALO (5) and SHOOBETCHA (8) all capable of filling a top 4 spot.

Suggested Bet: OF CLAUS IM GOOD (6) to win.

Race 7

KATAMA (3) should use the early speed and get to the top and that should be game over, has won two of her last three and is a brilliant front runner. MISS BEJEWELED (7) is talented but must overcome the wide draw, has a lot of high speed. SIZZLE ORO (4) is capable but hasn’t had much luck map wise in his races, looks devoid of luck again here. LADY CRUNCH TIME (1) and LAST KING OF CAPEL (5) both top 4 chances.
