RACE 1 No.2 Roosevelt

Godolphin trained galloper who looked the goods winning at Warwick Farm on debut back in early March. Immediately given a let up I’d suggest with a Queensland campaign in mind with the horse is likely to head that way after tomorrow’s race. Given couple of recent trials (looked good in both winning one and placing the other) he should be ready to go tomorrow.

Lightly raced mare who won her first two starts this preparation before striking all sorts of trouble at the start at Newcastle giving away a huge start, she was still back a clear last at the 300m before charging to the line over the latter stages to be beaten just over 2 lengths. She was clearly the run of the race and should be 3 from 3 this campaign. Can make amends tomorrow.

RACE 6 No.4 Alward

Chris Waller trained galloper who holds a terrific record over this trip. Game in defeat here in the Manion Cup here two starts back over 2400m before finding the 2600m of the Chairmans too far last time out. Given a month off, dropping back to the 2000m coupled with easier opposition sets up perfectly for him to break back into the winners circle.
