Race 1

MAJOR EXPRESS (6) has plenty of early speed and should race close to the top of the field, if he can cross, I think he will win with that run under his belt but still confident he can get the win from a forward position that isn’t leading, hard to beat. COLD HARD CASH (1) has been racing well from tricky draws, gets the ace and has options but should be close enough. GOODTIME LOUIS (3) is racing soundly, likely to look for the top and would want to hold that spot. ELITE FLEET (4) is mixing his form but can do work and finishing strong. CAPTAIN SAID SO (5) racing soundly and can get into the money with other novelty chances to DELULU (2) and VINITA ROSE (9).

Suggested Bet: MAJOR EXPRESS (6) to win.

Race 2

KATAMA (12) caught my eye with her recent trial and finishing strongly over the top of the handy Wake Up Geoff, looks enough genuine pressure to bring her into the race and appears a strong chance. IM CATEGORY FIVE (1) is not racing at her best currently but has the speed to lead and has the runs on the board to still command respect, keep safe. SUGA (2) looks a nice type who should be better for the break and could win some races this time in. IMA BOOTY SHAKER (3) returns and has shown promise, has some decent speed and likely to race in the first few and feature. MAAS ATTACK (6) needs some luck from the draw but has been thereabouts against the better fillies. THE SEA SIREN (10) rises in grade but will get a soft run and is a novelty hope.

Suggested Bet: KATAMA (12) to win.

Race 3

BEACH DIAMOND (1) gets an opportunity to show her best, she’s drawn the pole and will be looking to lead and taking on the boys and free for all grade pacers won’t be simple but looks hard to run down. NEVER ENDING (10) has the perfect draw to follow the speed and just needs a touch of luck but his number one asset is his high speed. CAPTAIN RAVISHING (2) has come back well from awkward draws, should settle close enough to be dangerous. ROCKANDROLLARTIST (3) has plenty of early speed and was a bold effort chasing Cyclone Jordy in a recent Pinjarra trial, he is likely to have a look early and would be cheeky if he could lead but looks less likely. HOTLY PURSUED (11) will be running on and is a novelty chance with some winning claims. TIGER ROYAL (8) trialled well but the draw hurts.

Suggested Bet: BEACH DIAMOND (1) to win.

Race 4

PENNY BLACK (1) deserves a win and will be driven hard to hold the top here and if she leads she is likely to win the event, efforts from the breeze recently have been brave, speaking of brave HARRISON JOHN (3) has some early speed and his most recent run was enormous and deserves a victory, Deni Roberts taking the drive over the highly talented WE WALK BY FAITH (9) is a good lead in of a strong performance. BRICKIES DREAM (4) can look to use his early speed, he is racing well and should about the mark again. SWEET PINS (6), ALTA TRIBUTE (5) and LUVBITE (8) all racing well but needs some luck from their respective draws and LUCCA (10) is a novelty chance following the favourite.

Suggested Bet: PENNY BLACK (1) to win.

Race 5

IDEAL WHISPER (2) gets the draw advantage and was a gutsy win last Friday night, looks to find an easier lead here as the pole marker lacks early dash, will have to take some pressure throughout but looks hard to run past here. HEZ THE BOSS (9) has been the benchmark but faces the river draw to continue his dazzling form, will be put into it and has depth. IGNITE THE FURNACE (1) gets the perfect draw for most but lacks the early speed to hold up, likely to be leaders back and just needs a genuine tempo and some luck and he can win. OFF SHORE (7) didn’t fill the enthusiasm meter very high last start but did have a tough run, this will be no easier. ULTIMATE SHOT (11) and SWEET ROBBIE (12) will both be running on at odds.

Suggested Bet: IGNITE THE FURNACE (1) each way.

Race 6

CHASE ME (1) returns and gets the good draw, he trialled well and is a nice type but was a beaten favourite on more than one occasion last time in and I’m still suffering PTSD from that, expecting him to run well but wouldn’t want to be diving into a short quote about him. HUGOTASTIC (12) got home well last time out and just needs a genuine speed to bring him into it but strips fitter for the first up effort. SWEET VIVIENNE (2) will have a look early and could be hard to beat if she could bounce on the bunny. FRANCO MOTU (4) is returning with no trial to his name, was disappointing last time in but overall, his career has been superb and expect him to return to his best this time in, respect in this and watch the market. CHACO EAGLE (6), OPAL HUNTER (8) and GULLY GUM (10) all novelty chances.

Suggested Bet: HUGOTASTIC (12) to win.

Race 7 

BAZAAR PACKAGE (1) gets the perfect draw, looks to lead and to be in control and hard to beat and that’s a big advantage against one of her main dangers, will be hard to run down in this. WAVE REBELLION (7) is driven one way and that is for her speed, she proved last time out that they can walk and she can still win but had a lovely run into the race late, she will let her presence be known but always hard to tip her with the map more likely than not, against her. ART IDEAL (4) might have a look early but didn’t think he could cross; form has been mixed as of late. TURBO JAY (10) drawn well to be in the novelties. CEE DEE THREE (9) will be running on well but needs some luck, will be value. TRAVELBAN (5) and GETN WIGGY WITHIT (6) both novelty chances.

Tips: 1 7 10 9

Suggested Bet: BAZAAR PACKAGE (1) to win.

Race 8

BEETASTIC (3) returned well and looks nicely placed here to bounce on the lead and looks a solid chance in this, likely to be aggressive in this drop in grade and can get her first win of the preparation. SEASIDE POND (8) trialled well and returns to the track and must be respected, will be up there and in the action at some stage. CIGANDA (2) will look to cross early, she is racing well when saved up and has options from the draw. GIRL OF BRIGHTNESS (1) is a novelty chance from the draw. Novelty chances to HEAVY METAL HAMMER (6), ALWAYS CHANGIN (10) and BET ON THE RIVER (11).

Tips: 3 8 2 6

Suggested Bet: BEETASTIC (3) to win.

Race 9

TIL HEAVNS ROCKN (11) reads up well for his WA debut and is with a strong stable, watch the market because that will tell a tale. SPIRIT OF SAHARA (2) was better in recent efforts and looks to try and lead again here but is no guarantee to get that position. BREWERY LANE (1) has been racing well on the outer country tracks and is a novelty chance from the draw. I BET YOU (6) won well on debut in the west but faces a challenging draw. WRITE RITE RIGHT (8) keeps improving but faces the river draw. THE BEAUDSTER (9) drops in grade and can improve in this. FRANCO MECCA (12) caught the eye last time out and will be running on well.

Tips: 11 2 1 12

Suggested Bet: BREWERY LANE (1) to place.

Race 10

WALL STREET GIRL (8) is one of the few that can be put into the race and looks a strong chance in this grade, thought she would win last time out and was run down, going well enough but not at her absolute best. GELSOMINO AMAL (1) is capable of better, comes in fresh and has the speed to lead, could be an improver. BLUE BLAZER (2) will be close enough and has been racing soundly, not sure he can lead this, but his early speed dictates he’ll be close enough. WICKED HUSTLER (12) will be hoping for a lead time to help elevate his chances from the draw, better last effort. MAJOR OVERS (4) a novelty chance with SOUND WAVE (5), ERA (6) and TRUE GRIT (11).
