Chris’ Gold Coast Best Bets Posted on May 4, 2018 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Preview RACE 2 No. 8 Tyzone New addition to the Toby Edmonds yard who was formerly based in North Queensland. He strikes a race tomorrow with good speed and as his pattern is to get back and find the line strongly late that likely tempo will play into his hands. Given a soft recent trial here recently when winning he’s nice and fresh which is the way he races best. Great value at an each-way quote. RACE 3 No. 13 Oink Kelly Schweida trained runner who looks perfectly placed tomorrow second up from a break. Placed behind River Racer and Mr Marbellouz fresh over the 1200m at Doomben he goes to the 1400m trip tomorrow and maps to settle right behind the speed in a race which doesn’t appear loaded with early pace. Given a decent crack at the leaders in the straight look out! RACE 8 No. 2 Comin’ Through Chris Waller trained galloper who looks perfectly placed in tomorrow’s feature race the Hollindale Stakes. Group 2 winner three starts back accounting for Tom Melbourne before beating all bar Happy Clapper in the Doncaster. Although beaten over 5 lengths at his next start I doubt he ran a strong 2000m and keep in mind it was in the best of company behind the champ Winx. 1800m looks ideal tomorrow.
