One run back from a break when a fast finishing 6th at Eagle Farm behind the flying Hidden Pearl who was able to dictate in front before zipping away in the straight. Returned to Sydney has since won a Randwick trial and note he has won 3 of 7 second up attempts. Opened up big odds in the early markets and is well worth a throw at the stumps tomorrow.

RACE 6 No. 2 Guard Of Honour

Kris Lees trained 3yo who wasn’t suited at all first up in a sit sprint affair however still managed to zip home late in the race to clock in 3rd. Stepping up from 1000m to 1200m suits perfectly and note he holds a fitness edge over his closest rival Omei Sword who has plenty of class however does resume and wouldn’t be quite at her peak at this early stage of her campaign.

RACE 7 No. 4 Egyptian Symbol

Bjorn Baker trained mare who was all the rage at the Gold Coast on Magic Millions Day however couldn’t quite see out the 1300m trip after leading eventually tiring in the straight. Back to 1200m tomorrow she looks much better suited holding an impressive record over the trip. She’ll find a prominent spot early on and should prove a lot harder to get past this time around.
