Race 1

Open race to kick off. SMOKEYS SHADOW (4) looks suited in this grade and has the high speed to used either at the start or finish and can get into the top end of the money. MY ULTIMATE KEVVIE (6) won last start off the back of a decent trial, will look dangerous at some point here. SEVEN NO TRUMPS (2) could be an improver second up, drawn down low. I SEE FIRE (5) is consistent but finds it hard to win, will look dangerous at some point. CAPTURE THE MOMENT (3) was held up last run but overall hasn’t been at her absolute best, should run a better race in this.

Tips: 4 6 2 5

Suggested Bet: SMOKEYS SHADOW (4) to win.

Race 2

WHEELSOFORTUNE (2) has the draw to be prominent and likely be in front, if he leads, he will win but think he will be very hard to beat from any position in this field. TRICKY TEXAS (7) is racing well and should get a good run through and with the small field his high speed will bring him into the money. GENTLEMANS PROMISE (1) on the quick backup but has the nice draw and can get into the money. TEXAS STORM (4) likely to be outside the speed and should stick on well, finding his rhythm. CEASE TO REACT (5) and BETTOR BEHAVE (6) both capable but faces tricky maps.

Suggested Bet: WHEELSOFORTUNE (2) to win.

Race 3

SOHO CONFIDENTIAL (5) is racing in top form, can be driven forward off the arm here and will either be in the breeze or in front but in this grade, he can do some work and will run a big race. RONA MAY (6) comes in fresh but has been racing well, needs some luck from the draw but will be doing her best work late. YOU FLY WITH ME (3) could lead early with WRITE RITE RIGHT (4) up in grade but likely to race on speed, both are novelty chances with YAWOMA (10) who will be getting home well and HENRIK LARSSON (9) is a talent at his best but returns from a tricky draw.

Tips: 5 6 10 3

Suggested Bet: SOHO CONFIDENTIAL (5) to win.

Race 4

SOME DANCER (1) gets the benefit of a good draw again as she looks to break her maiden status, has placed top 5 in two Group 1’s in her recent form and looks hard to beat in this. ULTIMATE SHOT (5) is a talented horse who is still learning the caper, he was top 5 in a recent Group 1 as well and looks a solid chance. JETPACK (4) should be around the mark with JIMMYS RAINBOW (3), the rest look to be outclassed.

Tips: 1 5 4 3

Suggested Bet: SOME DANCER/ULTIMATE SHOT to Quinella.

Race 5

HONOUR THE EAGLE (2) had to do to much last start early and still fought it out soundly, looks the leader here and will be wanting to hold that spot but ROCKABILITY (4) could have something to say about it with his early speed, both are winning chances but likely need to lead. This could suit my old mate THEYCALL ME STOOGE (3) who was a good effort on Monday, small field suits and tempo could be right up his alley. NEVERTELLMETHEODDS (5) and CLOUD NINE (6) will be around the mark.

Tips: 3 2 4 6

Suggested Bet: THEYCALL ME STOOGE (3) each way.

Race 6

IDEALINCIDER (8) hit the line bolting at Bunbury last time out and looks hard to beat in this, he is on the quick backup so the run from Northam can be a good indicator but looks a suitable grade and with clear air he will be hard to beat. SUGAR BOO (6) has depth in this grade and can be put into the race at some stage, looks a solid chance here. SUKHOVEY WINDCHIME (3) first up for the new camp but looks the leader and can give some cheek. WAHINE TOA (1) is a novelty chance with SANFORD ASH (7) who could improve in this.

Suggested Bet: IDEALINCIDER (8) to win.
