Race 4 – No. 3  Quartararo

A winner just twice from ten attempts over this trip but he does possess a powerful finish. Freshened up for this and should prove dangerous once again at the business end.

Race 5 – No. 3  Star Book

Found bother early doors in the Perth Cup final last week but she will find this more to her liking and can bounce back to her brilliant best with average luck at the start.

Race 7 – No. 3  Rippin’ Purton

Placed in a heat and Final of the Perth Cup at his past couple. on debut over 490m but has raced well here over shorter in the past and will take catching if he finds the early lead.

Each Way:

Race 6 – No. 5  Got The Fury

On debut over the 490m but has shown versatility with strong efforts over a variety of shorter trips at both here and Cannington throughout his short career. Breeding suggests he should handle the longer distances though and is worth an Each Way ticket at double figure odds.

Race 2 – No. 4  Flying Lantern

Former Victorian with a strong recent record over the longer trips. Will have benefited from a recent look at the track and should take a tonne of beating in his WA debut.

Race 5 – No. 8  We The People

Massive in defeat when storming home for second in the Galaxy Final in this rug last week. Looking for a hat trick over the 600m and should not be denied if the breaks go her way.

Race 7 – No. 7  Sir Monty

The class runner of the line up who will be out to make amends for a luckless last in the Perth Cup Final last week. Will appreciate the vacant draw on his inside and can avoid any trouble into the first turn from out here. Command plenty of respect.

Race 3 – No. 2  Sweet Mamma Mia

Missed the podium for the first time in seven outings over this journey, racing rearwards throughout from this draw behind ROSTERED OFF (5) last week. All runs prior were full of merit and can play a part in the finish this time.

Race 7 – No. 8  Motown Tia

Has a solid record over the trip and gets plenty of room to move from this draw. If she is close enough to leaders early, she will be hard to hold out at the finish.

Race 9 – No. 2   Galazio

Out of form and better suited out wider but has the early toe to cross the inside runner and if he does just that, he will be in this for a mighty long way.

Race 12 – No. 8  Pop Rock

Has raced on the pace throughout for podium finishes at his past couple over 405m at Mandurah, both in solid times. A different kettle of fish here but a similar jump should see him give plenty of cheek once again.
