Scott Embry’s Sunday Pinjarra Preview Posted on April 23, 2021April 24, 2021 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 NOWHITEFLAGS will have the attention of the State as Fabergino’s little brother makes his debut for Todd Harvey. Undefeated at trials, another beautiful mover and see no reason why he can’t run them ragged on debut down the 1000m straight. Looks to have a future. Big shoes. BORN SPICY has strong 2 and 3 year old form and comes with legitimate claims. TREVERN will attempt to become the second Jim Taylor horse in 4 years to win down the straight. Jim 1 – Scott 11. SEVEN KINGDOMS trialled the house down and then failed badly twice. Jett Stanley takes his first ride and looks a talent. Numbers: 5 – 7 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – NOWHITEFLAGS WIN RACE 2 BREAD TO FLIRT made her debut down the 1000m straight and that experience should see her well placed here. Ran fourth but was only beaten 2.5L by a very nice filly in Miss Livinia. Miami City ran a placing in town and Smoker had been strong at all three career runs. Should prove good form. ELITE TIME showed a bit at trials and then had a few genuine excuses in the run on debut. CHOIX DE LACE is seriously quick so expect her to jump and try to get to the outside fence. ARGONAUTS is a new-comer to WA and has reasonable East Coast maiden form to his name. Numbers: 10 – 11 – 7 – 3 Suggested Bet – BREAD TO FLIRT WIN RACE 3 ROYAL CHOISIR is a hard mare to catch (in fact every horse in this field fits that profile) but she looks to get a great chance here in a weak C1 and in only a small field. Has run into Jericho Cup Qualifiers fancies Final Chill, Friar Away, Our D’Amour, Red Hot Tip and Hyperspace at her last few starts and with Shaun O’Donnell on who can improve these types out of sight, we’ll go her way. BRUNY ISLAND, TOP TRADE and CREZEE all come from the same race last start and all ran well enough to be winning here. Numbers: 7 – 3 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – ROYAL CHOISIR WIN RACE 4 STRAWBERRY MIST gets another chance coming back to a mile. Last time she was at tis distance Chris Parnham rode her and she was an eye catching second to Warcidium when attacking the line powerfully. Since then she has been to the Natasha Stakes, WA Oaks and a soft7 2300. Drawn soft and gets the right run. BARONOVA showed ability in her initial preparation. Gets a soft run leader’s back from the draw and can go close. ACTING GOD improved sharply last start. VANMAN was a moderate trial (at best) and ran alright on debut. Looks like he needs ground. Numbers: 8 – 9 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – STRAWBERRY MIS WIN RACE 5 TRI FOR US was well supported in early betting on debut off the back of a highly impressive trial. To sit on top of the speed on a Soft7, do all the work and be nailed in the shadows o the post on debut suggest that she will take a stack of beating at her second outing. Big sighter into the strength of the form on Saturday in Race 1 through Platinum Label. ISCHINCA VIEW has a turn of foot and should be breaking maiden status sooner rather than later. INAHAPPYDAZE gets every favour from the draw and Pike elects to stick. YARDMAN has been going close and gets some weight relief with Kate Southam’s claim. Numbers: 12 – 11 – 13 – 1 Suggested Bet – TRI FOR US WIN RACE 6 ON RED ALERT may only be a dead heat winner first-up at Narrogin but he has undeniable talent. Fairly lightly raced 6 year old who has flashed big potential over the 12 start career. Raced without a lot of luck including when beaten a nose in this grade at Ascot last preparation. Can continue on with it. LIL RED BIKINI drops out of a fillies and mares feature back into a C3 where she has always been super competitive. MIMS WIN got under the guard of many last start but had been going well if you were willing to forgive one poor performance. HIP WIGGLE ran well at her first start for Michael Grantham. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 7 – 4 Suggested Bet – ON RED ALERT WIN RACE 7 STREET FAIR has been a frustrating horse to follow in recent preparations. Seems to find himself in tricky positions in running and then always be hitting the line once the race was all over. Chris Parnham picks up the ride for something a little different and back on top of the ground he is getting one last chance. VICTORIOUSCHINO was well found in the market by far sharper minds and if she can reproduce that effort she’s a legitimate danger. MISS MARANTA trialled really well and showed it was no fluke on race day. LUCKY HEART hasn’t had much go right this campaign. Numbers: 9 – 10 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – STREET FAIR WIN RACE 8 MONTAGNA only had two runs when last in work and couldn’t pick his feet up. Go back to the previous preparation and his first-up run was in a C3 at Ascot when he carried 60kg and finished third behind Position of Power and Speedy Miss. Recent trial for the new stable suggests he’s in good order and could open any old price. CHILI IS HOT and CLASSIC MAGNUS are a pair of 3 year old fillies who are both talented and capable of winning this and better races. Both drawn ideally. SMILE FOR ME needs luck but beat a good one last start. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – MONTAGNA EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 1,10,11,12,13 1,3,4,7 3,4,9,10 1,4,6 Market Market The Black Hearts are WA’s team in The Racing League – the world’s first horse racing league.
