Harry Buchanan’s Wednesday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on June 28, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 2 No. 1 Acing Kuna While she is desperately looking for 600m now, she needs to knock her maiden over first. This could finally be it. Boxed to land close this time and this field can’t hold her off if she claws her way into a striking spot early. Big last section that won’t be held off with any luck here. Race 4 No. 3 West On Nugget and No. 9 Coco Shimmer He has some talent this 3 dog. Spent too much time trying to drift to the middle of the track up the back but once he got there, the motor kicked in and he descended. Clear run here sees him go seriously close. He is very good and has stayer written all over him later on. Keep an eye on the reserve if she secures a run from and inside draw. Can Improve on the first up effort. Race 6 No. 2 I’m The General Big big drop in class here and boxed to go very close. Has been racing far superior dogs than this and only has to step cleanly and secure a trouble free run into the back and he quickly becomes the one to beat. Huge show. Race 9 No. 4 Bounce Li and No. 8 Danni’s Gem Tremendous effort last week considering she was crossed early then had to go around the leader and still went close to the sub 22 mark on a track that isn’t producing fast times. Box isn’t that bad here and she can show pace on occasion. Will be hard to beat with another clear look. Don’t be surprised if the 8 swishes over here and takes the arm. She is coming off a tumble but will be ready to go and has good box manners most days. Fitter and can stun. Race 11 No. 6 Apollo Fun and No. 8 Lenny Coaster Last chance for the 6. His box manners are letting him down since they tried him over 500 at Northam, he hasn’t been the same dog. It’s a shame as his best would just win this, and easily. This will determine if he is completely flat now and has just lost his old short course form or no more until he does. The 8 is racing well over this track and trip and can surprise here. Showing up early and sticking on and could give these a fright on the save. THE MEADOWS Race 6 No. 6 Security Man and No. 5 Mahjong Bailey The 6 went very quick at Bendigo 2 starts back and can show pace off this box to offset. 19 time winner so knows where the post is. Don’t dismiss the 5 who continues to run on well and will again look for an early fence spot off the pace. Will hit the line and is a place heavy go here. Race 8 No. 4 Nagambie Bale Desperately unlucky last time when he stepped and just couldn’t hold that forward spot off the corner start only to be dragged back through the field. Recovered to stick on well. Strong customer who can again show up here with a clean getaway. Will go well here if he offsets the middle draw. Market Market
