Harry Buchanan’s Thursday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on August 3, 2023August 3, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch NORTHAM Race 6 No. 6 Bazinga Boy and No. 9 Comet Bay Katie Last chance for the 6 and that’s only because he was making a good run last start when taken wide by a wayward dog. Huge price to see him bring his best one more time. If the 9 gets a start it will get our attention. Especially off an inside box. Race 7 No. 4 Turtle Fernando and No. 2 Wake Up Geoff Couple of old mates here. The 4 has taken to Northam well. Uses that back straight to wind up quickly and handles the turn perfectly. Big show. The 2 has seen the track a while back and he could muster on to a forward slot. If he leads he’s hard to catch. Race 8 No. 3 Little Honda and No. 5 Incredible Aura The 3 gets a good map here. Can drive up behind the speed and hold a fence run to be strong home. EW chance at least. As is the 5 who is been racing harder opposition and can run into this strongly with a little luck. Another EW show Race 10 No. 2 Shadow Monelli and No. 1 Incredible Solo The 2 has a great record here. Only missed the frame once at this track from 9 goes and boxed to give another big sight in this. The 1 also raced well here and only missed a hole once from 7 and gets a good rails run throughout here with a good step. Race 11 No. 8 Riverside Lenny Has terrific muster this dog and the box suits now. His box manners need work but he goes very quick after leaving the mat and will rocket up out wide here to look for the arm. If he gets it by the first turn he goes on to score. Huge show. SANDOWN PARK Race 2 No. 8 Heffernan Bale Goes well here and comes off a chequered run last time to place. Box is fine and will go better than his double figure quote suggests. Has been going well in tough company and solid EW show here. Race 3 No. 7 Pickled Piper Another big price EW show. Has been competing against far better dogs over this trip and she runs into her races very quickly up the back. Box isn’t great but any early luck to get clear running and she will surprise here. Place heavy play. Race 4 No. 7 Dewanna Sensation While this fav is hard to stop, this girl is fast. She comes off another quick run over this trip and if she lands as close as she did last week, she will give a huge sight. Start critical here. Can run top 2 at least. Race 5 No. 3 My Bonneville Last 3 efforts have been first class and gets the right grade and race now. Superb record track and trip and has a very big last section when he’s wound up. Just needs a clean look up the back and these are in strife if he’s near them at all. Great EW show. Race 9 No. 7 Minister Mentor and No. 8 Kairi Bale The 7 was too bad to be true last start. He’s much better than that and the move out wide might help him here as he didn’t look comfortable inside dogs last time. Strong and can run big sections. The 8 is under rated and if she gets over cleanly she can stick on well and hit the frame here. Twice a winner off the pink and will give a sight at odds. Race 11 No. 8 Pepita Has not been herself in recent starts but this company gives her a chance to bounce back. Can deliver race winning splits and works home well and only needs to hold a line out wide to get into this. Has a fast win here and a repeat would see her score this time. Trust needed but best chance to date. Market Market
