Scott Embry’s Thursday Pinjarra Preview Posted on August 3, 2023August 3, 2023 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 SECRECY is racing like he wants 2000m. His effort last Thursday at Northam was sound – he finished within 1L of Silver Back Jack and Full Of Merit and prior to that was only 5L off Cavallo Red and subsequent maiden winner Yallingup Girl. Drawn to get a soft run and can track the speed. PROPHET AND POWER is that speed. Last time he was at the staying trip he lead them for a long way before being gobbled up by Super Romani. Leads and looks to pinch it. BULLS EYE PERFECT is continually hitting the line. ASPRO DE GRECE next best. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 1 – 6 Suggested Bet – SECRECY WIN RACE 2 IRONCLAD BOY was huge on debut. He settled 12th of 12 from the outside barrier and charged home in impressive sectionals right down the centre of the track. Prior to that he was a handy trial at Lark Hill when second to Forever Boy. Question whether coming back to 1000 is really ideal but happy to follow up trusting the eye on his debut performance. INDIE RULER is double accepted for Wednesday at Belmont and Thursday at Pinjarra. His straight 1000 effort behind Simply Rosso was wildly good to the clock. STAR POWER has had a six week freshen. She’s always around the mark. HIT THE JACKPOT trialled well. Numbers: 11 – 1 – 6 – 12 Suggested Bet – IRONCLAD BOY WIN RACE 3 Seven of the eight runners won their last race down the 1000m straight. Makes for a great high-speed contest. BOPPING BLUE has won first-up in C5 1000s at Pinjarra at his last two preparations. Won on 9 June 2022 off 145 days, won on 12 January off 168 days and attacks this off 138 days. He’s a proven weight carrier, he’s a proven straight commodity and Annie King gets them going fresh. SQUILLIONAIRE and MY BABY BLUE JEAN raced each other 28 day ago. Swap the position (fence vs off fence) and you likely swap the result. PRINCE RAGNAR is quick and imagine ZJP will be given free reign to let him run. Numbers: 1 – 5 – 6 – 3 Suggested Bet – BOPPING BLUE WIN RACE 4 CHAMPAGNE STREET was a shade disappointing at her return. In hindsight she drew wide, got a long way back and by the time she was looking to work her way into the clear the race was all over in front of her. Stepping out to 1200m looks far more suitable and her debut run splitting A Lot Of Good Men and Super Smink will always stick firm in the mind. HYMNS OF ELADDAIR went close on debut. Rises 1.5kg into what could well be a deeper race. ZENIQUE was much better last start. Expecting he’ll look for the top again. SENSESSIONAL was $19 into $4.60 on debut and gave backers a great sight. Numbers: 9 – 2 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – CHAMPAGNE STREET WIN RACE 5 KISSES FROM KELLY was flushed out three deep just before straightening at his return to racing and was only nabbed late by Master Alex. Should take fitness improvement from that run and he should have no worries kicking through to hold a prominent position in running. Looks only a matter of time before he breaks his duck. PLAYING RIO has finished third at both runs back for Paul Hunter. They’ve both been runs full of merit. LUVA SESSION ran well at her return to racing and considering she progressed to the WA Oaks the extra trip should really suit. They look the big three players. MAZE MASTER was solid on debut. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 10 – 14 Suggested Bet – KISSES FROM KELLY WIN RACE 6 POMPEY returns to racing and after the Brayden Gaerth claim looks really well placed. Won a maiden and aa 3 year old 0MWLY when last in work and then in an open Saturday 3 year old race to finish the preparation did everything wrong and yet with even luck in the home straight probably goes close to winning. Has X-Factor about him. MAMA TEMBU has raced in higher grade at her last nine outings. She has finished in the money on three occasions in 60+ Graduation company and now finds herself back in a C3. This is winnable for her. SIMPLY ROSSO ran really good time down the 1000m straight and was held up until the concluding stages. Improving type. LOOPYS BABY won well last start. Numbers: 1 – 5 – 4 – 6 Suggested Bet – POMPEY WIN RACE 7 GALAXY CAT has returned in really good order. Finsihed only 2L off Songaa, Miss Drakova Universal Playboy and Final Authority (beating home Bread To Flirt and Art Of Sabrage) first-up and then held her own behind Bread to Flirt and subsequent 3 year old Saturday winner Becalotti. Versatile mare who can offset the wide gate. THE COOLAKIN KING is hard to run down at his home track when he’s allowed to roll. STORM LORD can be forgiven for one blip. Prior form was excellent. FLY AWAY HOME may want further. Numbers: 1 – 8 – 6 – 3 Suggested Bet – GALAXY CAT WIN RACE 8 RUNFORROB covered plenty of additional ground last start from a wide draw in a forgive run. His first-up effort was sound behind Yarralea, Albright and Bleecker Street. Drawn to kick through and lead or box seat and from there he should go well in an open and even contest. JELLY CAN RUN caught the eye last start from a long way off them. He’s going really well. MASTER ALEX was able to gun down Kisses From Kelly last start and that form will be on display in Race 5. ZOOROPA was the target of good money last start. Ready to win. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – RUNFORROB WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 2,3,10 1,4,5 1,8 1,2,4,5,6 Market Market
