Race 1

It’ll be a frantic race early to step and get the advantage. LAVRADORE (8) is normally reliable and looks to be in top form, good win from the breeze last time out and appears hard to beat in this. BEE BEE BEROC (9) was outstanding in defeat in track record time at the longer trip, needs to step quickly and if he led at the short course he would take all kinds of beating. JUSTLIKEFLAIR (10) is improving with more experience and will be a major player in this as she has depth. FRENCH MISSILE (5) failed in her first stand attempt, needs to step although made up a heap of ground to finish with them. ELISH STAR (3) is a novelty chance with THE WHIZ KID (4) who has ability but just needs to trot.

Suggested Bet: LAVRADORE (8) to win.

Race 2

Open race. LIGHTONTHEHILL (2) is improving nicely and has drawn well, might be given the opportunity to try and lead this and will give them something to chase. SWEET ROBBIE (11) is a horse I’ve got some time for, has plenty of high speed and in an open race expecting him to run well first up for the new stable. ALLWOOD DEAL MAKER (3) is consistent and around the mark and hit the line well on Friday with IN SELF DEFENCE (5) expecting both to be around the novelty chances. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT (4) has some early speed and is dropping from Group 1 level and ELQUESTRO (6) hit the line well in the consolation. ALOKA PEARL (8) is a work in progress but looks to have ability, needs some luck. FORTITUDE PHIL (10) continues to improve but bumps into a deeper race from a trickier draw.

Race 3

GRACE ELLA (7) trialled up well and looks to have good ability, hard to go past her on the back of that trial. GINGER SNAPS (2) also trialled up nicely and has the good draw, went a bit slower in the trial and should be on the speed and looks a solid chance. HIGH TIMES (8) was eye catching on return and will be running on well in this. ALL AT ONCE (1) is a novelty chance from the good draw, has shown some promise with ARMAFLIGHT (6).

Suggested Bet: GRACE ELLA/GINGER SNAPS to Exacta.

Race 4

ALVAREZ (3) is hard to get enthused about, has been a beaten favourite on a few occasions now but strikes an even more suitable grade and looks hard to beat. PORT TO PLEASE (7) is one of the few in the race that can be put into the event and is likely to be on speed and will run well, sat outside ALVAREZ (3) and beat it home last start, these two could fight it out. AMERICAN STORY (1) comes in fresh and has the nice draw, place chance from that. TORREVEAN ENVY ME (4) is capable of better, can be in the money with UNKNOWN (5) and MAKIN DUST (6) with CHUCKYS DELIGHT (8) are improving marginally.

Suggested Bet: ALVAREZ/PORT TO PLEASE to Quinella.

Race 5

MISTER KOPA (1) is perfectly drawn and races well at the lightning lap, good leader in this and will run a big race in this. AKABAH (9) faces a tricky draw but was a good effort after sitting 3 deep the trip last run, give him a chance to be in the money. REDDY TO FLY (8) nicely drawn and is drawn to get the perfect run. HOOAH (6) needs luck from the draw but is racing well in this grade. LUKE ATTACK (3) could improve at the trip, does appreciate the distance but overall form has been moderate. SHESA ENCHANTRESS (5) and IM DRINKINDOUBLES (7) face difficult draws after fighting out one of these races last week. STIRUP IRON JACK (4) can improve but was very disappointing on Friday at Narrogin.

Suggested Bet: MISTER KOPA (1) to win.

Race 6

ANNIE CROCKER (2) has had a few runs in trials to tighten the screws before her debut run in the west, improved nicely in each trial and has the good draw and strikes a suitable race, hard to beat. TORREVEAN AMY (1) has the nice draw and shouldn’t have to burn early to be in the box seat which is beneficial to her earning chances. LAZARUS STAR (10) has comes back well and can be put into the race when needed, has the high speed to negate the draw and get into the money. SEAGRASS (3) not back to her best but can be in the novelties with SPIRIT OF SAHARA (4) who we are awaiting to get a true gauge on. GET YA BETS ON (11) will run on but needs some tempo and is a novelty chance with VINTAGE BLU (8) and MAJOR OVERS (12).

Suggested Bet: ANNIE CROCKER (2) to win.

Race 7

BE HOME SOON (1) gets the draw to burn out and lead, his form is something not to be viewed, no real numerical form to work with but was bolting two starts ago, he has been plagued with bad draws and maps among other things, he loves being on speed and looks hard to beat. IDONTWANABEAPIRATE (10) will run a big race in this, he will be getting home strongly, always a roll of the dice whether he will do everything right. GLOBAL HERITAGE (2) could get a good run and is a novelty chance, could be a race to get behind the leader with the returning STRAYLYA (9). THE MERCENARY (3) yet to show his best for the new stable but is speedy when right.

Suggested Bet: BE HOME SOON (1) to win.

Race 8

JAXS IDEAL (11) is coming in fresh off a disappointing performance when finding an easy lead at Gloucester Park back on August 14, she still finished 5th on that occasion and dropping back to the standing start company where she has proved potent appears to be a good move, will go close. Stable mate BLAMEITONTHENIGHT (9) bolted in with his most recent appearance, also comes in fresh and will be driven for his speed late and look dangerous, he is wonderfully consistent. LUKES MISTAKE (1) could be an improver drawn to be on speed; form has been moderate as of late but could be a noted improver. CALL TO ARMS (5) will be looking to charge through and be handy, he is racing well and is ready to win. GEE SMITH (8) consistent with MAJOR FREEWAY (10).

Tips: 11 9 5 1

Suggested Bet: JAXS IDEAL (11) to win.

Race 9

Looks to be a hotly contested race and think AMERICAN BLAZE (12) can bounce back, the draw is never an easy assignment at the distance but has depth and looks hard to hold out. DEL BOCAVISTA BAY (7) will charge forward and look for the top, either way he will be on speed and races well from there. ERA (1) has the speed to lead early and will be close enough and be a novelty chance. BAZAAR PACKAGE (3) was better last run and could charge to the top and give them something to catch, her best is good enough. TUBBS FARQUHAR (9) and THOMSON BAY (8) are always around the mark, novelty chances from their respective draws.
