RACE 3 No.11 Passeggiata

Bjorn Baker trained filly who has been very well supported right from when markets opened and I’m not surprised. One start for one very impressive win at Gosford going straight to the front running time to score by over 3 lengths and she wasn’t exactly pressured over the concluding stages. That time she ran suggests she won’t have any issues with the step up in grade and on the map she figures to lead once again.

RACE 8 No.3 Estadio Mestalla

Lightly raced Chris Waller import with plenty of upside. Sent around a short priced favourite two back he ran last however was restrained from a wide gate, the tempo was pedestrian giving him no chance whatsoever. In a more suitably run race last time out he turned that effort around with a strong win. Expecting the same on Saturday.

RACE 10 No.12 Van Giz

Happy to take the value price about this Bjorn Baker trained mare who will go around at decent odds. The stable are certainly flying, yes she’s up in grade however she drops plenty in weight and did run a good race at this level here last campaign over slightly shorter than Saturday’s trip (1100m). She will get back and give away a start however the tempo looks solid enough to give her a chance.
