Chris Nelson’s Newcastle Best Bets Posted on November 13, 2020 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 5 No.9 Prospectus Chris Waller trained middle-distance galloper who has been racing with great consistency in Queensland of late. He did accept tomorrow both here and Doomben and to be honest if going around up north I was prepared to take him on as he’d had his chances to win his last couple. However being from the Waller yard with a change of scenery and suited this big track with the long run home I’m giving him another chance. RACE 7 No.3 Ranier Godolphin trained galloper who should be ready to peak at his third run back from a break tomorrow in the day’s feature, the 1 million dollar ‘The Hunter’. Placed in Group 2 company first up he then did a good job lumping 62kg last time out. Drawn ok and with form in a couple of good races last prep he’ll prove very tough to beat. RACE 8 No.7 Strawb Very excited to see this locally trained mare resume from a break tomorrow. She’s very promising having had the 7 starts for 4 wins with her only failures last prep coming on a heavy track and at Scone second up when missing the start 10 lengths to be beaten only just over 1 length! Trialled well enough to win first up. Quaddie 40% 1, 2, 9 1, 3, 7, 15 1, 3, 7 7, 9, 14 Market Market
