Chris Nelson’s Eagle Farm Best Bets

RACE 3 No.8 Vaccine

Beaten an eyelash by a longshot at Doomben last start she takes the step up to a mile for the first time on Saturday which will suit her nicely. She’s third up off a slight freshen suggesting she’ll be at peak fitness and keep in mind she has won at Eagle Farm over 1400m when very strong to the line late overhauling the leader. The bigger track certainly seems more in her favour.

RACE 4 No.5 Alburq

Yes, disappointing at Doomben last start however I feel there were valid excuses and expect him to return to his previous career best form on Saturday. The freshen up and drop in trip certainly didn’t work in his favour however even more so he just didn’t appreciate being ridden so close, he’s far more effective when able to drop back early and be saved up for one crack.

RACE 7 No.5 King Kapa

Absolutely flying this prep and I can’t see any reason as to why he won’t be making it 4 straight wins on Saturday. Up outside the pace last start at Doomben he careered away in the straight yet went to the line easily for Ryan Maloney to score by over 2 lengths. The overall and sectional times were good & keep in mind he could have gone considerably faster.
