Warren Huntly’s Monday Sandown Preview Posted on December 23, 2022December 23, 2022 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 JEAN VALJEAN is flying for the new stable, he gets J.Kah and the likely strong tempo should suit. SNAPPED has jumped out well to resume and will also be suited by a solid tempo. CAPITAL THEATRE ran well from back in the field in Sydney last start and will be closing off strongly. LLOYD’S CROWN has jumped out well to resume and will be part of the speed. RED HOT NICC and JEZOULENKO have claims. Selections: 6,8,12,1 Suggested Bet: Playing multiples around 6,8 & 12 Race 2 DUNKEL has a bit of X factor about him. He’ll love the spacious Hillside circuit and has had a quiet trial and jump out since his latest run. His stablemate HARD TO CROSS is building a good record and looks suited out to 1800m. GHETTO SUPASTAR chased well behind Hard to Cross last time. NO DRAMA comes through a strong race and maps for a soft run. RAJNISH takes another rise in grade, but has shown versatility to win his last two. Selections: 3,1,5,2 Suggested Bet: Dunkel to win Race 3 ST LAWRENCE is promising and looks capable of coping with another rise in grade. He may settle in a controlling position, in a race where there seems to be a lack of genuine speed. AUSTRATA will strip fitter third up and may have been in slightly inferior ground last time. PRINCESS RHAENYS drops in grade and stuck on ok last start. CONFRONTATIONAL has also accepted for Moonee Valley, but has place claims if here. BARRETTA closed of well after being slowly away in the same race as Austrata at his latest run. Selections: 3,8,5,6 Suggested Bet: St Lawrence to win Race 4 NUGGET took a narrow gap along the inside to score in Sydney last start, his form through Detonator Jack reads well. LIFE LESSONS is flying this preparation, she takes another rise in grade, but can make her own luck and stays down in the weights. All of these have a place hope, with Nugget and Life Lessons looking the winning chances. Selections: 1,7,2,4 Suggested Bet: Quinella/Exacta 1 & 7 Race 5 RICK’S CAFE is racing in great form and goes well for Carleen Hefel. She takes another rise in grade, but appeals each way. PITCHANUN had excuses last start, she’s in the mix if she’s here rather than Moonee Valley. BELLINI MISS was the beneficiary of a great ride to win last time, she gives the impression 1800m will be ok. CHANDON BURJ worked on a strong speed in a stronger race last start and her previous win was good for this. Selections: 4,7,8,1 Suggested Bet: Rick’s Cafe each way Race 6 SAVANNAH CLOUD is having a terrific preparation, he can’t be improving at this stage of his campaign, but can make his own luck and looks hard to beat again. HERE TO SHOCK is capable first up and has jumped out well to resume. SIG POSITANO had excuses first up and has been kept up to the mark with a jumpout between runs. TURBEAU gets some weight relief for chasing Savannah Cloud last start. CHASSIS will strip fitter for her latest run. Selections: 2,5,10,9 Suggested Bet: Savannah Cloud to win Race 7 JIGSAW has been in great form this preparation and looked sharp winning a jumpout on Monday. ANDERMATT has a great first up record, he comes through some strong form lines in Sydney and has trialled nicely to resume. ROSE QUARTZ couldn’t get in the right spot at Flemington last week and closed off well behind Jigsaw at her previous run. DUSSE creates some interest if she’s here rather than Moonee Valley. Selections: 2,3,8,9 Suggested Bet: Jigsaw to win Race 8 Competitive race with plenty of chances. DIAMONDS IN THE SKY will likely roll forward and looks suited stepping up slightly in trip. STAR SPIRIT won well first up and has run well without winning at all her second up runs to date. BRITISH COLUMBIA has jumped out nicely to resume, as have SANDY PRINCE and MARLION’S DREAM. HESKET and SHE’S BOOMING are race fit and are in the mix. Selections: 14,6,11,9 Suggested Bet: Diamonds in the Sky each way Market Market
