Race 1

HIGH PRICE (1) was a strong 2nd from the breeze here last week and is clearly the one to beat tonight if he can hold up at the start. CHEER THE MAJOR (6) has good gate speed and will give a great sight over this distance if he can cross at the start. ROCKMYSTER (8) has won four of his last five starts and must be considered but the draw makes it tough. PELIGROSO (10) has led throughout to win at his last two starts and looks a good place from his nice trailing draw.

Suggested Bet: HIGH PRICE (1) to win.

Race 2

COTTON ON (5) has won all seven starts since crossing the Tasman but meets his biggest test tonight. He does have very good gate speed and he will give a great sight if he can cross at the start. SKYLORD (6) is a highly promising 3YO who may end up being the best horse in this field and is capable of overcoming his wide draw. ROLLING FIRE (3) is versatile and capable and is the other winning chance. FLASHING ARK (1) ran 2nd to SKYLORD (6) two starts back and shouldn’t be far away from the pole.

Race 3

AMERICAN ARMA (2) has finished 2nd at her last two starts and appeals as the one to beat tonight after drawing inside her main rivals. BEYOND THE SEA (8) was an impressive first-up winner and will be charging home if there is a solid early tempo. BLAZE COOPS (3) led when 2nd in 1.55.9 at her last start and will give a great sight if she can find the front. MISSTIANO (1) has been placed at her past two starts and can make presence felt from the pole.

Suggested Bet: AMERICAN ARMA (2) to win.

Race 4

TENZING BROMAC (4) is the class runner of the field who resumed with a close-up 3rd to Prince Of Pleasure and appeals as the one to beat. MOONLITE DRIVE (1) led throughout from this draw three starts back and his two subsequent 2nds have been full of merit and he is the obvious danger. ELDAYTONA (5) is dangerous on his night and he could end up getting a nice cart into the race here. KIMBLE (7) has impressed with a win and close-up 3rd at his two starts for a new stable but is drawn poorly here.

Suggested Bet: TENZING BROMAC (4) to win.

Race 5

PRINCE OF PLEASURE (4) and FINVARRA (3) have fought out three recent events with little between them. FINVARRA (3) led throughout to narrowly defeat his stablemate at their last meeting but the tables can be turned tonight. HIMSELF (8) is up to the favoured pair on ability but will need a solid tempo to help him overcome the wide draw. GALACTIC STAR (1) continues to defy his age and should be thereabouts from the pole.

Suggested Bet: PRINCE OF PLEASURE (4) to win.

Race 6

MASTER PUBLISHER (6) has put up brave performances to be placed from the breeze at his last two starts and should fight out the finish again. BEAT CITY (12) hasn’t had much luck in stronger fields at his last two starts and he should be charging home here. MEDIEVAL MAN (4) was a strong winner from the breeze two starts back and will give a great sight if he can work his way to the front. ONESMARTFELLA (7) ran on well to win here last week and must be considered despite the rise in class.

Race 7

XCEPTIONAL ARMA (3) was an impressive winner at her last two starts in WA before being fancied in the $400,000 APG final at Menangle but she did things wrong and finished towards the rear. She has trialled nicely for her return and looks the one to beat after drawing inside her main rivals. LENORA JANE (4) impressed with a 26.9 final quarter when winning on debut and looks the main danger. SAN REMO BEACH (5) was a good winner from the breeze here last week but goes up in class. COPY CAT QUEEN (8) is next best.

Race 8

ARDENS HORIZON (1) has won five of his eight stand starts and upset Magnificent Storm here three starts back. He looks the likely leader tonight and should give a great sight. STEEL THE SHOW (6) is the best horse in the field and will be hard to beat but the likely speed map will make things tricky for him. WATCHING OUR COIN (3) followed four consecutive mobile victories with a strong 2nd in a stand her last week and looks the other winning chance. AWAITINGINSTRUCTIONS (2) can sneak into a place with the right run..

Suggested Bet: ARDENS HORIZON (1) to win.

Race 9 

CLOUD NINE (5) has finished 2nd at his past two starts and appeals as the one to beat against this moderate line-up. THE BATMOBILE (1) is an inconsistent type but he can surprise on his night and can give cheek over the sprint trip. BATTLESCARD (3) hasn’t lived up to his early promise but he would have gained some confidence with his recent Wagin win and can figure. FEELING ACES (2) can sit just behind the speed and should be thereabouts.
