Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on April 14, 2022April 14, 2022 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 NEVERMINDTHECHAOS (3) is in peak form, winning her last four on end. She has won three of those events from the breeze and is likely to take up that position again tonight. UNCONDITIONAL (1) led throughout here two starts back and dashed home in 56.6 on that occasion and is the obvious danger from the pole. BOORAA (6) has won her last two starts and is the other class runner but will be giving her rivals a head start. NEWSLETTER (2) is drawn to get a lovely run and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 3 1 6 2 Suggested Bet: NEVERMINDTHECHAOS (3) to win. Race 2 THE CODE BREAKER (2) has finished towards the rear at his two runs back from a spell but is better drawn here and looks a major improver. IMA ROCKABILLY REBEL (5) loomed up and looked the winner here last week but couldn’t go on with it. This is an easier assignment and he must be respected. PALATINO (3) was a strong 1.56.3 all-the-way winner at his last start and will make his presence felt. TEXAS TARA (1) looks a good place chance from the pole. Tips: 2 5 3 1 Suggested Bet: THE CODE BREAKER (2) to win. Race 3 HEEZ OUR PERSEUS (1) has been beaten as a $1.05 and $1.50 favourite at his last two starts but gets one more chance after coming up with the pole draw tonight. ROBBIE ROCKET (5) wasn’t fancied first-up but hit the line nicely and will be charging home here. BLACK JACK ZAC (10) is drawn to get a soft run on the favourite’s back and looks a great place chance. MANNING (6) is likely to have to work in the run but is proven in this class and should be thereabouts. Tips: 1 5 10 6 Suggested Bet: HEEZ OUR PERSEUS (1) to win. Race 4 ALTA CINDERELLA (1) couldn’t get into the race here last week at her first run back from a spell but is drawn to lead tonight and is clearly the one to beat. SPACE JUNK (10) trailed To Fast To Serious when 2nd to that star pacer three starts back and looks to get a similar trip here. HENRIK LARSSON (6) didn’t perform at his best last time in but warmed up with a nice trial win and could be in for a better campaign. ROCK ME OVER (5) is a consistent type who will be running on if there is a genuine tempo. Tips: 1 10 6 5 Suggested Bet: ALTA CINDERELLA (1) to win. Race 5 HITTHEROADJACK (5) overcame the outside barrier to record a strong win from the breeze here last week and only has to reproduce that effort to be the one to beat. ARMA EINSTEIN (7) ran a nice 2nd to Doc Holliday here last week and the wide draw tonight is offset by a drop in class. MISTER BUSHIDO (2) was a solid winner here last week and will be hard to catch if he can find the top. BRACKEN SKY (11) was a nice 3rd here last week at his first run back from a break and will be charging home. Tips: 5 7 2 11 Suggested Bet: HITTHEROADJACK (5) to win. Race 6 BORN TO BOOGIE (1) took all before her last campaign and is clearly the one to beat at her first run back after sprinting brilliantly to win a recent Pinjarra trial. JACK FARTHING (2) disappointed last time in and resumes here without a trial but will give this a shake if anywhere near his best. SAVVY BROMAC (5) did defeat the favourite last time but hasn’t fared well at the draw here. VULTAN TIN (9) surpassed the $1 million barrier when winning the Narrogin Cup at his last start but the wide draw makes it tough. Tips: 1 2 5 9 Suggested Bet: BORN TO BOOGIE (1) to win. Race 7 IDEAL AGENT (11) lost no admirers when he worked hard and finished 3rd to DOC HOLLIDAY (10) here last week and appeals as the one to beat if he handles the stand. DOC HOLLIDAY (10) was an impressive winner of that event and must be considered again. MISS MUCHO (6) blew the start in a stand here last week but can play a part with a better beginning. TWOBOB CRACKER (3) has won his last two starts and has the pole but goes up in class here. Tips: 11 10 6 3 Suggested Bet: IDEAL AGENT (11) to win. Race 8 BLISSFULLABBEY (7) drops considerably in class on her recent assignments and should be right in the finish. THE LAST DROP (2) was well-backed at his last start but didn’t show his usual gatespeed. He is well drawn here and a return to form would not surprise. TWOAND AHALFTIGERS (1) has been unplaced in his last 15 starts but his recent efforts have had merit and he represents each way value from the pole. ROCKNROLL WHITBY (10) has finished 2nd at his last two starts and should be thereabouts again. Tips: 7 2 1 10 Suggested Bet: TWOANDAHALFTIGERS (1), each way. Race 9 TRICKY RIC (5) isn’t the most reliable trotter but has won three out of his last four starts and is the one to beat if he does everything right tonight. ACE COMMANDER (2) has won his last three on end and is the obvious danger with a 10m handicap advantage over his main rival. ON FAST FORWARD (4) doesn’t have the class of the two favourites but is a reliable trotter and can be placed. WAR SPIRIT (8) is suited by the small field and is capable of running into the money. Tips: 5 2 4 8 Suggested Bet: TRICKY RIC (5) to win. Race 10 WONDERFUL TO FLY (4) has won three of her last four starts and is clearly the one to beat despite being the only filly in the field. HOPPYS WAY (1) ran a 15m 2nd to WONDERFUL TO FLY (4) at his last start and looks a good chance to fill the quinella position again. LINEBACKER (2) has shown plenty of ability without always producing it but did record a 42m Narrogin win at his last start. ALCOPONY (6) is racing extremely well but has a tough draw to overcome. Tips: 4 1 2 6 Suggested Bet: WONDERFUL TO FLY (4) to win. Market Market
