Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on November 11, 2021November 11, 2021 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 ROMAN ART (2) had to work to find the front and was then just outstayed by Alta Intrigue at his last start and can go one better tonight. BACK IN TWENTY (4) has been racing well in stronger company and will be extremely hard to beat if he can use his good gate speed to cross at the start. MIRRAGON (6) has run nice placings in his two starts back from a spell and will be suited if there is an early speed burn. HEEZ OUR PERSEUS (10) is first-up after a 16-month absence but has plenty of ability so monitor the betting. Tips: 2 4 6 10 Suggested Bet: ROMAN ART (2) to win. Race 2 JUMPINGJACKMAC (9) has resumed with a win and two narrow 2nds from his three starts. He is drawn wide here but Gary Hall Jnr has stuck with him over his stablemate and he looks the one to beat. FINVARRA (8) is the obvious danger after recording two impressive victories and should be right in the finish. PER ARDUA ASTRA (3) is a promising 3YO and can be placed from his nice draw. DOMINUS FACTUM (7) is a consistent performer and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 9 8 3 7 Suggested Bet: JUMPINGJACKMAC (9) to win. Race 3 PAPINIK (5) has won nine of his 14 career starts but was defeated in his three starts before going for a spell. He indicated that he is in for a good campaign with an impressive Pinjarra trial victory and should give a great sight first-up. ROCKABALL (1) hasn’t had much luck at his last two starts and should provide good each way value from the pole. EUPHORIA (3) has only finished out of the top two twice in his last 14 starts and should be right in the finish again. MANNING (2) will give them something to catch if he finds the front. Tips: 5 1 3 2 Suggested Bet: ROCKABALL (1) each way. Race 4 HAMPTON BANNER (2) led throughout to win his last four starts before a spell and resumed with a similar performance when defeating Jumpingjackmac. This is his biggest test to date but he will be hard to catch if he can cross the polemarker without doing too much work. WILDWEST (5) has any amount of ability and caught the eye first-up so must be respected. ALTA INTRIGUE (1) is racing well and will be in the firing line throughout. PERFECT MAJOR (6) isn’t racing at his best but does have blinkers added tonight. Tips: 2 5 1 6 Suggested Bet: HAMPTON BANNER (2) to win. Race 5 WAINUI CREEK (1) has won three of her last five starts and looks the leader and one to beat after drawing the pole. BORN TO BOOGIE (10) has impressed in winning her last three starts and will be hard to hold out if she sees daylight at the right time. BALCATHERINE (3) is currently considered to be the states’ best mare and must be respected but may not be at her top first-up. SAVVY BROMAC (8) did defeat WAINUI CREEK (1) when they last met and is flying but will be giving her main rivals a head start at the bell. Tips: 1 10 3 8 Suggested Bet: WAINUI CREEK (1) to win. Race 6 PRADASON (2) led throughout at Northam before finishing a solid 4th in a stronger field here and appeals as the one to beat after drawing inside his main rivals. LEOSABI (7) was an impressive 1.54.0 winner at his last start and has the strength to overcome the backline draw. BE MY ROCK (4) chased hard when 2nd at his last start and should be thereabouts tonight. SUING YOU (11) disappointed at her last start but can figure on her previous form. Tips: 2 7 4 11 Suggested Bet: PRADASON (2) to win. Race 7 WALSH (1) hasn’t drawn inside barrier eight in his past four starts and won’t know himself from the pole tonight. He looks the likely leader and is clearly the one to beat. MAJOR STARE (3) has been placed in three of his past five starts and looks the main danger from his nice draw. BETTOR BE LIVELY (10) was a solid 2nd at Northam at his last start and is drawn to get a lovely run in transit. WHOSWHOINTHEZOO (2) ran on well to finish 2nd here at his last start and should be in the firing line throughout. Tips: 1 3 10 2 Suggested Bet: WALSH (1) to win. Race 8 HARLEY ZEST (1) has been racing in stronger fields and looks the leader and one to beat after coming up with the pole tonight. BETTOR GET IT ON (11) only missed a place once in his 11 starts last time in and must be respected first-up. DESTINED TO RULE (10) is always dangerous with the right run and is suited by his trailing draw. TWOBOB CRACKER (5) has been racing extremely well in standing start events but has an awkward draw to overcome. Tips: 1 11 10 5 Suggested Bet: DESTINED TO RULE (10) each way. Race 9 THE KRAKEN (1) has only been placed in one of his past 11 starts but looks the likely leader and will give a great sight. MACHLANI (4) has finished near the rear in his three runs back from a spell but looks a big improver in this class. TYLER BRETT (9) is drawn poorly but drops in class on his recent assignments and has the gate speed to land in a prominent position. BATAVIA ON FIRE (2) is another who has been racing in stronger fields and can improve from his nice draw. Tips: 1 4 9 2 Suggested Bet: THE KRAKEN (1) to win. Race 10 FREE WHEELING (5) has won three of her seven career starts and impressed with a strong win from the breeze at her last start and should give a great sight again. QUEENINTHECORNER (8) was ultra-impressive in leading throughout here to bring up her second victory from as many starts but will find it harder from out here. FOLLOW THE ARK (1) led when 4th to FREE WHEELING (5) last start and should be thereabouts again. JAY ELLE (9) is drawn poorly but has ability and can be dangerous with the right cart up. Tips: 5 8 1 9 Suggested Bet: FREE WHEELING (5) each way. Market Market
