Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on September 30, 2021September 30, 2021 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 OTIS (2) has resumed with two strong victories either side of a solid 2nd to Powerplay and looks the one to beat after drawing well inside his main rivals. JUMPINGJACKMAC (9) was ultra-impressive in winning four of his last five starts before a spell with the only defeat being to Mighty Ronaldo in the WA Derby. He resumes from a wide draw but must be respected. STAMFORD (6) was less than 6m from winner when finishing 6th to OTIS (2) last start and can play a part. FASTER THAN DAD (5) has potential but is still raw and up in class. Tips: 2 9 6 5 Suggested Bet: OTIS (2) to win. Race 2 EUPHORIA (1) ran four consecutive 2nds before being blocked for a run here last week. He should lead tonight and looks very hard to beat. CLASSIC CHOICE (10) has finished 2nd at his last two starts and is a good chance to fill the same position from his nice trailing draw. HENRIK LARSSON (5) isn’t racing anywhere near his best but has plenty of ability and must be respected. RICHIE REACTOR (2) couldn’t get into the race last week but can improve from this draw. Tips: 1 10 5 2 Suggested Bet: EUPHORIA (1) to win. Race 3 DOUBLE UP (3) won seven on end before being caught in the breeze when 6th here last week. He looks a good chance to find the top tonight and will give a great sight in that role. BORN TO BOOGIE (8) has run consecutive 2nds at her two starts back from a spell after winning all three starts last campaign and has the class to overcome the wide draw. FANCI A DANCE (5) has been placed at his last three starts and should be thereabouts again. ALICE KAY (6) goes up in class on her win last week and isn’t as well drawn tonight. Tips: 3 8 5 6 Suggested Bet: DOUBLE UP (3) to win. Race 4 MY CARBON COPY (2) is a classy type who wasn’t at his best last campaign but still performed consistently. He resumes here without a trial but will be extremely hard to beat if anywhere near his top. WALSH (9) didn’t have much luck last week but flew home for 3rd and can be dangerous here if he gets the right cart in to the race. JASPERVELLABEACH (7) was a strong winner here last week and is capable of handling the rise in class. MANDY JOAN (10) disappointed last week but is drawn to get a soft run on the pegs and can figure. Tips: 2 9 7 10 Suggested Bet: MY CARBON COPY (2) to win. Race 5 VAMPIRO (1) was found wanting when stared down by Magnificent Storm at his last start but he should lead in an easier tempo here and will give them something to catch. TEXAS TIGER (5) impressed in winning all eight starts in his first WA campaign and looks a major player first-up. HURRICANE HARLEY (9) crosses the Nullabor with a great record and showed he is in for a profitable time in WA with a recent 1.55.0 Pinjarra trial victory. STAR OF DIAMONDS (10) goes up in class but is drawn to be a place prospect at odds. Tips: 1 5 9 10 Suggested Bet: VAMPIRO (1) to win. Race 6 MINI MINE YET (5) settled at the rear but charged to the line when an eye-catching 3rd to Wainui Creek here last week and will be hitting the line strongly again. BETTOR COPAGOODONE (4) wasn’t far away when a 2.8m 4th in the same race and is the best drawn of the main chances. RABCHENKO (6) turned around his disappointing form with a solid win here last week and can go on with it now. DOUBLE EXPRESSO (7) has finished midfield at her two starts back from a long spell and should strip fitter for those efforts. Tips: 5 4 6 7 Suggested Bet: MINI MINE YET (5) to win. Race 7 BOOM TIME (5) followed consecutive wins at this track with a solid 6th to Magnificent Storm in quick time and will appreciate the drop in class tonight. HOWARD HUGHES (7) was ultra-impressive in winning at his last start in quick time and has the turn of foot to overcome his wide draw. IDEAL LINER (6) has struggled at his last two starts but is suited by the small field and can play a part. GOTTA GO GABBANA (2) would be hard to beat from this draw at her best but she may need a run or two to bring her to her top. Tips: 5 7 6 2 Suggested Bet: BOOM TIME (5) to win. Race 8 MR SUNDON (9) resumed with a solid 3rd and backed that up with a solid Pinjarra win. He is drawn wide in a stronger field but will strip fitter and is a classy customer at his best. TEARS OF JOY (2) has resumed with two impressive wins in easier company and the rise in class is offset by her nice draw. NO REPUBLIC (4) is first-up without a trial but won three of her last five starts before going for a break and must be respected. MY MDINA (5) ran a solid 2nd to TEARS OF JOY (2) two starts back and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 9 2 4 5 Suggested Bet: MR SUNDON (9) to win. Race 9 MISS MUCHO (5) won her last two starts in NZ and impressed in facing the breeze and defeating Stormyskyes at Bunbury. She looks set for a profitable campaign and is clearly the one to beat here. WEEWAH (4) is an inconsistent type who is first-up tonight but raced in stronger fields last time in. BETTOR PACK IT (1) has been placed in two of her last three starts and should be thereabouts from the pole. SAGANO (8) possesses her share of ability but the wide draw will make it tough. Tips: 5 4 1 8 Suggested Bet: MISS MUCHO (5) to win. Race 10 BONSTAR (1) is yet to win a race from nine attempts but she put the writing on the wall with a solid 3rd in quick time at Pinjarra on Monday. She looks the likely leader and will give a great sight. THE HOPE DIAMOND (5) faced the breeze and battled on well to finish 4th in the same event and should make her presence felt. NOWUSEEMERUNIN (2) showed promise in her first campaign and resumes here without a trial so monitor the betting. FREE WHEELING (4) was a solid winner in weaker company at his last start and can play a part. Tips: 1 5 2 4 Suggested Bet: NOWUSEEMERUNIN (2) each way. Market Market
