The Scout: Fury vs Wilder 3 Posted on October 8, 2021October 8, 2021 | Posted by The Scout Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 3 Tyson Fury (30-0-1) defends his WBC heavyweight title against Deontay Wilder (42-2-1) in the duos third meeting in as many years. The most recent fight (Feb 2020) was a one-sided affair that saw Fury completely dismantle Wilder. Fury has perhaps improved in each of his 18 rounds against Wilder, leading to the latter parting ways with his trainer Mark Breland, and teaming up with Malik Scott. Will this change be enough to bridge the gap between Wilder and the Gypsy King? We’ll find out soon enough. My biggest (and perhaps only) concern for Fury in this trilogy is his approach to the fight, and any level of over-confidence he has lasting from their previous encounters. One slip up is all it takes against Wilder, and Fury will no doubt be reminding himself of that right up until this fight begins (and ends for that matter). Fury has made it clear in his media appearances that he is coming out hard and fast, and will be looking for an early knockout. The Gypsy King though is well-versed in psychological warfare, and this could be a ploy to throw off his opponent. There is no need for Fury to turn this into a brawl as he is perhaps the most technical boxer we’ve seen at his size, has superior footwork and a significant reach advantage. Wilder’s pride, and a big chunk of his reputation is on the line in this fight and I think he can last this distance this time around. Suggested Bet: Tyson Fury by Points @ $3.60* *Odds correct as at 12pm, 8th October 2021. Market Market
