The Scout: EURO 2020 Day 13 Posted on June 23, 2021June 23, 2021 | Posted by The Scout Slovakia vs Spain The final round of group fixtures for Group E starts with Spain taking on Slovakia in Seville. As things stand, Spain are in third place on two points, and Slovakia are second on three points. A draw for Slovakia would likely be enough to see them progress to the knockout stages, while this is must-win for Spain. Spain have been arguably the most disappointing team of the tournament so far. They’ve scored just one goal through two games and will likely look at changes to their starting XI. Ferran Torres (Manchester City) is a possible option to inject some spark into this lineup. Slovakia were fantastic in their opener against Poland, but were suffocated in a 1-0 loss to Sweden. Only needing a point, they’ll likely play a cautious brand of football, looking to frustrate Spain and make this contest as dour as possible. Spain have had no problems maintaining possession and with everything on the line I think we see a far better version of them in this match. I’m expecting it be a tight contest through the majority of the game, with Juventus’ Alvaro Morata best placed to break the deadlock, as he did against Poland. SUGGESTED BET: Alvaro Morata First Goalscorer @ $3.70* Sweden vs Poland Sweden and Poland play in the final game of Group E with the Swedes sitting on top (four points) and Poland 4th (one point). Both are still in with a chance at qualifying, and both can still finish on top of the group! Sweden are in the box seat for qualification into the knockout rounds with a draw enough to see them advance to the round of 16. A 0-0 draw against Spain and a 1-0 win over Slovakia highlights how good their defensive efforts have been. Poland had a much-improved performance in their 1-1 draw with Spain, but their chances of progressing remain slim. They have an abysmal record against Sweden with their last victory against them coming in a 1991 friendly. Robert Lewandowski opened his EURO 2020 account against Spain, but this Swedish defense is a well-oiled machine, ideally suited to combat the Polish superstar. SUGGESTED BET: Sweden (Match Result) @ $2.80* Germany vs Hungary Germany host Hungary in Munich, with the teams 2nd and 4th in Group F respectively. Hungary are still a mathematical chance of finishing top two, and the Germans can jump France into top spot, depending on their game against Portugal. Hungary were fantastic against France, looking composed in their 1-1 draw against the tournament favourites. Meanwhile a 4-2 victory over Portugal silenced the German doubters, with manager Joachim Low seemingly having his side back on track. Kai Havertz (Chelsea) has forced his way into the German starting XI, and the man who won the Champions League Final for Chelsea, scored in the win over Portugal, and was largely responsible for the Portuguese 35 minute own goal. Havertz has been Germany’s best player is making a habit of finding himself in dangerous positions this tournament. SUGGESTED BET: Kai Havertz Anytime Goalscorer @ $1.72* Portugal vs France The final game of Group F sees France take on the defending European champions, Portugal, in Budapest. The Group of Death was blown wide open, with Portugal’s 4-2 loss to Germany. The Germans are expected to do enough in their final game to reach the last 16, meaning Portugal need to win here, and France need just a draw to advance. France were surprised by the aggressive approach of Hungary last match, and their 1-1 draw should be the wake up call they needed. They’ve won seven of their last nine matches, and with group qualification on the line you can rest assured they will bring their a-game. We are yet to see anywhere near the best of Kylian Mbappe so far, and this could very well be the game. Slowing down Cristiano Ronaldo is the key to victory for France, with the Portuguese star scoring three goals already in the tournament. France boast arguably the best defensive group in the world, and I think they can bring a gameplan to beat Ronaldo, and beat Portugal. SUGGESTED BET: France (Match Result) @ $2.20* Market Market
