Scott Embry’s Tuesday Ascot Preview Posted on November 5, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 BLACK ATTACK looks extremely well placed to get favourite punters and Pike punters off to a flyer on the best day of the year. Always shown ability and should keep improving. DRINK THE RAINBOW was far from disgraced when stepping out of maiden company last start. SNITZATUNE has been below par this preparation but needs this trip. MAJORA’S MASK should lead and give a sight. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – BLACK ATTACK WIN Race 2 MAGICAL CHARGE was very well supported at a price on debut and was brave sitting outside the leader and only pinched late. With the rail at 14m she can skip away on the corner if they run above average tempo. FAIREDU was run down first-up by a nice one and in a strong form race. OVER THERE has improved since the shades went on. DEMONS ‘N’ DUST is not the worst and will almost open three figures. Numbers: 9 – 7 – 8 – 4 Suggested Bet – MAGICAL CHARGE WIN Race 3 TYCOON LEGEND finds a very winnable race. He is drawn awkwardly in gate one being a horse who typically races off speed but if Noske can get him off the fence he’ll charge late. SONG OF VINCENT should find the front and looks a strong and progressive type. LADY LATTE will drop out early and at her best has an electric turn of foot. FANCY STREET improves off the first up run. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 5 – 4 Suggested Bet – TYCOON LEGEND WIN Race 4 M’LADY is far better suited at 1000m by the looks of her racing pattern. Won well first-up in a leader dominated race and then was well supported at her second start in WA when run down quickly. Unlikely to lead this but parks right over the speed. CHINETTI is more than capable of lumping 60kg around to another victory. Quicker the better for him. DAM READY didn’t give a lot last week but gets a suitable run. KAAPANDER will charge late if they over cook it. Numbers: 6 – 1 – 2 – 3 Suggested Bet – M’LADY WIN Race 5 MISS FROST was far and away the run of the race and arguably the run of the day last start behind Driftstar when getting a mile off them and rattling late. She could be a nice type. DON’S LEGACY was another good run in the same form race and draws far better here. GEE KHAN has shown ability at trials and if he can overcome the awkward gate is definitely in the mix. INFLATION looks like he is still learning the caper and the wide draw makes it tough. Numbers: 7 – 1 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – MISS FROST WIN Race 6 KING LOUIE has an important jockey change with a 4kg claiming apprentice replaced by one the best in the state. Has only won 1 race from 19 attempts but is rarely far away and his last start was enormous. COCKNEY CREW finds the front and was only a narrow maiden winner but dug deep. MEGADON was flying late last start at a big price and previous form was sound. MOUQUET likely sits in the breeze and she gives her all every week. Numbers: 1 – 8 – 4 – 2 Suggested Bet – KING LOUIE WIN Race 7 MISTY LAD was a brilliant trial and was not suited from the draw or over the trip first-up. Still ran a nice enough race to suggest that second-up can find the front and give a bit of cheek at a price. THE FUGAZI is very green but equally impressive. Outstanding type in the yard and when the penny drops he’ll be winning plenty. MOET DE VEGA can box seat and trailed well. TRUMP THIS looked like a world beater at trials but his previous form was only fair. Interesting to see what they market says. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 8 – 6 Suggested Bet – MISTY LAD EACHWAY Race 8 ARCADIA QUEEN looks like she is the best 3 year old in the state at the minute. She will get back from the draw and settle nearly last but her turn of foot is simply something to behold. Keeps getting shorter and shorter in the WA Guineas market. LADY COSMOLOGY was nothing short of brilliant in the Belgravia when tramping three deep the trip in a race where they broke 1:10 comfortably. Takes some beating. FLIRTINI was big in the same race. CRISTAL DANE has a turn of foot which will see her win plenty of races. Numbers: 7 – 1 – 4 – 11 Suggested Bet – ARCADIA QUEEN WIN Race 9 ROYAL STATUE was woeful on debut when he gave 0 but then the shades went on and he looked a different animal. This is not a deep race and if he fires fresh he will get a lot of happy Pike punters home. FLYING ROAR is far better suited at 1400m than he was last start at 1200m. LORD LUDLOW can improve sharply sitting close handy in a high speed race. NEW TIME is an old marvel, he’ll give his all. Numbers: 7 – 2 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet – ROYAL STATUE WIN Quaddie (Race 6 – 9) 1,4,8 1,2,6,8 1,7 2,4,7 Market Market
