Scott Embry’s Tuesday Bunbury Preview Posted on November 5, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 PRO FESSIONAL really was jumping out of the ground late last start at a mile and the big grey looks like he’ll stay all day. This is very winnable. PLEAD THE FIFTH is bred to get this trip and has always looked like winning a maiden at some stage. Pateman in white hot form. TORTINA should find the front and run her usual honest race. BENNY BRUISER is awkwardly drawn in gate 1 but stays. Numbers: 5 – 6 – 3 – 1 Suggested Bet – PRO FESSIONAL WIN Race 2 SON OF BACCHUS will hold a lot of multi money with many sure to label him in a moderate maiden. Was big in defeat in a super fast run race last start and Glenn Smith on only enhances his chances. SHAFTO LANE took on the older horses last preparation and was far from disgraced at any of those. ARCHANT has shown ability as a 2 year old and resumes. WILD GALAH has run two handy races this preparation. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 3 – 2 Suggested Bet – SON OF BACCHUS WIN Race 3 WISE MONKEY has the blinkers added and was a fairly similar run in defeat to Lucky Linda Lulu. Not a lot between them ability wise but the market likely favours the other. LUCKY LINDA LULU is still a class 1 after 18 runs but this is the best chance she’s had all preparation. DEHEUNE fresh without a trial could give a sight at odds. ME ‘N’ TAZ looks likely to find the front for the first time this campaign and could be the sharp improver. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 5 – 1 Suggested Bet – WISE MONKEY WIN Race 4 FLYING TRIX ran a huge race on debut behind Tripeletto in a fast run maiden and then was crunched at her second start where running well below market expectations. First-up, no trial, she has ability. GUNFLINT was given every chance first-up when backed as if unbeatable. Drawn awkwardly but looks an improving type. PICK YOUR BATTLES trialed very well for his debut and can definitely win. HITCHIKER has reasonable enough form and a soft draw. Numbers: 7 – 2 – 5 – 4 Suggested Bet – FLYING TRIX WIN Race 5 BEL MY PAGO has gone under as an odds on favourite at both runs so far in her career but lost no admirers at either. Looks like she will appreciate the step up in trip and looks the winner on paper. EXPLOSION was a nice run first-up and then second-up did work but faded badly. FRIAR’S MOON has been freshened up and can run solid closing sections. BIG RANSOM can run a cheeky race at a huge price if leading. Numbers: 5 – 2 – 6 – 1 Suggested Bet – BEL MY PAGO WIN Race 6 STARTHEFRIAR found the 1200m a touch short first-up and gets to a far more suitable race here. His 3 year old feature form was strong and this does look his race on paper. TIPS AND SCANDALS put in an uncharacteristic below par performance last start, she improves. BENNY BEAU is a maiden taking on more experienced rivals but both runs in have been good. HOODLUM THUNDER is a talent and usually meets with market support. Trials were a pass. Numbers: 3 – 8 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet – STARTTHEFRIAR WIN Race 7 JUST A FLUKE gets his chance to lead and win on a track which heavily favours front runners. Last 3 seasons over 1000m 39% of winners lead into the corner and Just a Fluke should find the front. COPPER FURY is another who is very speedy and drawn underneath. Should get a soft run. DENIM PACK has the best race form to his name but could be in a bit of traffic. PRINCESS ZELDA was reasonable late first-up. Numbers: 2 – 7 – 1 – 5 Suggested Bet – JUST A FLUKE WIN Race 8 MACAVITY looked to recapture a bit of his elusive turn of foot last start which he lost for a fair while. With the right tow into the race he looks to have found a suitable assignment. TWENTYTHREE RED was unable to lead last start and was beaten before the corner. Should find the fence here. BERGIO has been building towards another win, this could be it. ARCTIC STREAM is at the cross roads. Brave punters jumping aboard at the shorts. Can he stay? We’ll find out. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet – MACAVITY EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 5 3 1,2,7 1,2,3,4,5,10 Market Market
