Scott Embry’s Sunday York Preview Posted on September 12, 2019September 13, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 PASAJERO has won two and been placed in another two during his 9 start career with Holly Taylor. Sat deep first-up on top of a strong tempo and was entitled to fade. Sits likely outside of Sounds of Then and looks hard to hold out. WARZACHANTZ had a disappointing campaign last time in but previous 3 year old form was super. Trial suggested he might be ready to bounce back. SOUNDS OF THEN is the logical leader and should give a big sight. BLACK SMUGGLER will be looking for further. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 Suggested Bet – PASAJERO WIN Race 2 DOLLY EM has not won a race since July of 2017 but runs since joining Matt Scott’s small team have been good enough to pinch this at a price. Run on the 10th of July beaten 3 by Snowchino, Deception Game and Black Shadow reads well for a race of this quality. ALLURING should be awfully hard to beat if finding the front. DEMONS ‘N’ DUST ran a good race last time out and draws to sit leader’s back. I NEEDA CARDY is not going well but draws well Numbers: 5 – 1 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – DOLLY EM WIN Race 3 SHOUHOU should be simply too classy for a moderate bunch. Has raced consistently well in C3 and C5 events since going through a purple patch in August 2018. Jason Whiting rides York well and can wind up over the top. METALLIC QUEEN really caught the eye in a recent trial and looks the danger. FASHION FORWARD should roll straight to the top and take catching. FIRE ANT an improver. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 2 – 3 Suggested Bet – SHOUHOU WIN Race 4 APACHE RABBIT has been beaten a long way at her last few but they have been against far better opposition than she meets here. She can give this a shake at a price. DIAMONDS FOR ALL is a 27 start maiden who has recently been battling away on the dirt but if Edwards finds the front she can pinch it. MASCHERANO showed a glimpse early in the prep. DALSANTO has a gear change and could improve. Numbers: 8 – 2 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet – APACHE RABBIT EACHWAY Race 5 INDISISIVE really stretched a nice 3 year old in Belle of Liberty two starts ago at 100-1 and then jumped a well supported second favourite in a Saturday metro maiden at her most recent. Gets her chance here. MISINFORMED BEN joins a new stable and trialed well. KRISTELLA has been there abouts all preparation in the maidens. SCENIC CHARM is her own worst enemy but has talent. Numbers: 4- 3 – 5 – 6 Suggested Bet – INDISISIVE WIN Race 6 THE GOBLIN GLIDER comes out of a race which was run 5.5L above benchmark and finished off well. There are no Classic Chants, Minikas or Strasmores in this field and he gets his chance. REACTION comes from the same race and that should prove the form reference to go on. CLAPPA THUNDER is every chance if finding the top. FASCINATION won’t get a weaker assignment than this all preparation and trialed well enough. Numbers: 8 – 9 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – THE GOBLIN GLIDER WIN Race 7 LANGLEY can be a hard horse to catch but from the gate he should be positioned up in the first 4 in running and this is not a deep field. Back on top of the ground looks to suit him and we’ll back in one of the most potent combinations in WA racing Pateman & Bairstow. PATCHIRAC will get off them but can show a turn of foot when right. SKETCH LINE has been disappointing all preparation but this is a nice race for her. LAW MAJOR a chance from the draw. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 5 – 6 Suggested Bet – LANGLEY WIN Race 8 PLEAD THE FIFTH looks to have found her race. She has been honest and consistent ever since joining the Geoff and Fenella Martin yard and deserves to break through. Ryan Hill rides these tricky tracks (York/Narrogin) as well as anyone and she looks well placed. GOLDEN BONNEY wasn’t too bad last start in a stronger race than this. ARMED AND READY bolted in at York last prep. O’REILLY’S CRUMPET can be the blowout. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 3 – 1 Suggested Bet – PLEAD THE FIFTH WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 3,4,5,6 3,4,8,9 2,4,5 1,2,3,4,6 Market Market
