Scott Embry’s Sunday Kalgoorlie Preview Posted on August 17, 2018August 17, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 ANGRY ANNIE looked stylish in the concluding stages of a recent Lark Hill barrier trial and looks smart enough to take out a race like this on debut. BUFF MAN has had excuses in both of his starts on the Goldfields and a win looks to be just around the corner. ORADALE’S IMAGE is on the quick back up after an improved effort last weekend and expecting leader bias conditions. FISHY is quite hard to gauge off only 400m dash ups but the most recent did catch the eye. Numbers: 8 – 1 – 2 – 9 Suggested Bet: ANGRY ANNIE WIN Race 2 POLITE PASS looked the winner at her most recent where possibly fitness gave out over the final stages. Was second up at the mile so expect her to have taken a lot of benefit from the run and be very hard to beat here. LET ME PASS does look a one paced type who will be suited to rolling at Kal. Gets Pateman and a leader bias track to suit. MIRISISTIBLE is arguably the most talented runner in the field but maps horribly from the outside gate. BANTRY needs things to go his way. Numbers: 11 – 2 – 12 – 5 Suggested Bet: POLITE PASS WIN Race 3 INDRIEL has found form recently when being allowed to burn to the front. The outside gate forces Lucy Warwick’s hand and may be a blessing in disguise. LITTLE FISH returns to the races to try and keep his unbeaten record intact and there is no reason he can’t. BEVEL returns today after a let up. Has ran some good races behind some of the more talented types in Kalgoorlie since joining Neil Dellar. TEMPLE MAN has always promised to win in the fashion he did last start but now needs to hold form. Numbers: 6 – 1 – 7 – 3 Suggested Bet: INDRIEL WIN Race 4 SONG OF WAR had the unenviable task of trying to sprint home with Oorah who is low level flying. That is proven to be no easy task and there was a gap between them and the rest of the field. Looks strong form for this. DECOY NOXIOUS was held up for the majority of the home straight in the same race after being heavily supported. May pay to give him another go. BRISTOL ROAD was an impressive maiden winner and followed that up with a fair effort at Pinjarra. Fear he will be stuck in an awkward position on the fence here. COSTA OESTE can improve at an each way price. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 1 – 7 Suggested Bet: SONG OF WAR WIN Race 5 CLOAK AND DAGGER finished 3rd in a race caller’s nightmare here 7 days ago after sitting outside the leader throughout. Should find the front quite comfortably here and Ryan Hill rates them perfectly when he finds that position. TRUTH AND LIES gave them a 2 length head start in the same race after bombing the start and rattling home in an eye catching manner. NOBEL SUSPECT will slide across to sit outside the speed. URQUELL is yet to run a bad race since breaking maiden status. Numbers: 5 – 9 – 3 – 1 Suggested Bet: CLOAK AND DAGGER WIN Race 6 BABBLE was absolutely bolting in behind them with nowhere to go last week. Once Ryan Hill managed to find a clear passage he shot through and its fair to say with any sort of even luck he wins that race 9 times out of 10. CHHAYA had been a dominant force before a trip to the city and then a short spell. If she returns in that manner she probably just wins. DON’T SPEED gets the blinkers applied and we expect a more aggressive ride. OMERTA is racing ultra consistently at the minute. Numbers: 8 – 3 – 11 – 1 Suggested Bet: BABBLE WIN Quaddie 1,6 2,3 5,9 3,8 Market Market
