Scott Embry’s Saturday Kalgoorlie Preview Posted on March 28, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 ANOTHER DEMON returns to his beloved Kalgoorlie and the 1100m. He is a different horse at Kalgoorlie and this is a more than suitable assignment. TOO CLEVER has untapped ability and if he has matured mentally he can really go to another level this season. BELLS TOWER has hit form and drawn to lead and be there for a long way. BADGE OF COURAGE is closer to the end of his preparation than the start but it wouldn’t shock to see star trainer MR Peter Fernie stamp his authority early. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 3 – 1 Suggested Bet – ANOTHER DEMON WIN Race 2 SERKET was no match for the smart Jade Reef at her debut run for the Helen Harding stable. She doesn’t meet a horse of that caliber here and can lead all of the way. DANCE WEST has the ability to take this race out comfortably but she is losing trust quickly. That being said, those who like her, Back Yourself. SIMPLE AS THAT looks primed for this race and gets all the favours from the gate. WE ACCEPT has been very disappointing for new connections but don’t be surprised to see the astute yard produce a forward showing at a price. Numbers: 5 – 7 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet – SERKET WIN Race 3 BARTRADER has been in consistent form since joining the Brett Matthews yard. Given the apprentice doesn’t find too much trouble from the inside gate, he looks right in this. WHISPERIT faces the challenge of winning first start out of maiden grade, however she has always looked a progressive filly and the win may be the start of an exciting career for a stable just starting to burst onto the scene. NOBEL SUSPECT looks an uncontested leader and The Boond rates them extremely well in that position. BROTHER PADDY is capable of picking up another race or two. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 3 – 2 Suggested Bet – BARTRADER WIN Race 4 GLUTEN FREE hasn’t had much go right in his career to date. If he gets in the barriers he has the potential to repay patient connections on debut. If the money comes it could pay to follow. LAST LEGACY hasn’t been disgraced since joining the Freddo Brown stable and will only improve with racing. WHISPERING JACK will need some early luck from the outside gate. TOMMY TO JACK is a watch at his first start for Craig Wright. Numbers: 5 – 9 – 3 – 2 Suggested Bet – GLUTEN FREE WIN Race 5 FORK HANDLES found herself too far back at a track that is hard to make up ground over the 1000m trip. If Mollie Clark can position the mare just behind the speed and avoid traffic upon straightening this looks her race for the taking. WOCKNWOLL tapered off towards the end of her last preparation. She is sure to be in tip top order for the race named in honor of a loyal stable owner and popular Kalgoorlie Racing identity Bronte ‘Crow’ Stewart. JUPITER CALLING is master trainer Cliff Smith’s first runner back after a 2 year hiatus and can win. LITTLE HERCULES can run a race fresh. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 2 – 3 Suggested Bet – FORK HANDLES WIN Race 6 LOVE TRADE jumps off the page, having not been disgraced in much tougher metropolitan races. On her best form she jumps to the front and simply runs them off their feet. Easy lead wooshka is what her followers will be hoping. POINT drops back sharply in trip and gets back on a firm surface and can improve sharply at an each-way quote. GALVESTON BAY has never finish out of the placings for the Cambana Lodge stable and that is likely to continue today. PLANET FEVER will pick up his fair share of races this season. Numbers: 11 – 3 – 1 – 5 Suggested Bet – LOVE TRADE WIN Quaddie (Race 3 – 6) 1,2,3,6 5,9 1,2,6 1,3,11 Market Market
