Scott Embry’s Saturday Kalgoorlie Preview Posted on November 1, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 JOVELLA looks to have found her race. History says she’ll likely stay in Kal and join Mr Peter Fernie’s team headed for Esperance and should be a solid acquisition. She has promised to win one all campaign and the 1400 looks perfect for her. BLUE TURNS TO GREY has been consistent all campaign. EMPOWERED is improving into the preparation. EXPLOSION fresh can run a better race. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 3 – 1 Suggested Bet – JOVELLA WIN Race 2 SNIPPIRANHA looks the standout bet on the Kalgoorlie program. Has trialed like a nice animal on a number of occasions. First-up ran fifth only beaten 3.5L behind classy types Silkinize, Drinkwhatyoulike and War Saint. Last start was a shade disappointing but Stella Door was travelling in front. Shades on, weak race, she should win. EMERALD ROSE really deserves to win one but just can’t get her head in front. FISHY is no star but draws soft. FIRST STRIKE went well last start. Numbers: 7 – 2 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – SNIPPIRANHA WIN Race 3 PARADISE SQUARE is ultra consistent and has tactical speed to hold leader’s back in a fast run 1400m. Should box seat behind either Pegatego or Bells Tower and enjoy a lovely economical run. Can turn the tables Badge of Courage. BADGE OF COURAGE is always around the place and never far from the winner. Last start win was strong and he typically holds form. BELLS TOWER has not come back quite as strong as his early Kal campaign but hard to fault. CHHAYA down on the minimum next best. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – PARADISE SQUARE WIN Race 4 GLUTEN FREE has been a shade on the disappointing side so far this campaign. First-up run was reasonable at 1100, second-up tramped deep the trip, third up looked home before being nailed and last start was given every possible when poor. Can win but does need to improve a little. PROZONE is holding form well and races on speed. THISORTHAT gets back but has been charging late. THE LAST WALTZ is racing well but draws poorly. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 6 Suggested Bet – GLUTEN FREE WIN Race 5 MR GENOA is undefeated since joining the emerging stables of LK Fernie. Looks a Saturday horse in the making and can continue on his merry way through the grades. WAR SECRETS has been arguably the find of the season. His last three wins have all been unique and all been super in their own right. NEMIROFF is best allowed to run and if Bennett finds the front he can win. CONCRETE MADAME has won three on the bounce but this is harder. No surprise to see this race all aboute ferenie. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – MR GENOA WIN Race 6 PASTRY has improved every time she has been to the races this campaign. She showed real promise in her late 3 year old season but has taken a little while to get warm this prep. Draws poorly but is versatile, can be ridden to suit the track conditions. ICECRUSHER has been getting under the radar and racing without luck. No surprise to see her fly at them late. LITTLE HERCULES would be nearly winning if he could reproduce his first-up run. DIRTY DOT broke through last start and is likely to find the top again. Numbers: 2 – 6 – 1 – 8 Suggested Bet – PASTRY WIN Race 7 SMARTY is going through the grades and looks another Peter Fernie horse who could make the grade down in the metro area. Last two wins were both soft and from the gate Yuill will be looking to track up three deep with cover. MURRAY THE BULLDOG looks a nice pick up for the Esperance season and takes luck out of the equation by leading. HAYAN LAD is likely to punch the breeze and the 4kg claim suits. CAN HE RULE HER was in form around a month ago. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 1 – 3 Suggested Bet – SMARTY WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,2,3,6 1,2,3,4 1,2,4,6,8 2 Market Market
