This is a lovely race for her provided she can carry the full 60kg. GIN ‘N’ SWANIC has met with backing on occasion at odds in recent months. This is not a deep race and he can stay. BLUE CARD gets in with what looks a very winnable 55.5kg after Madi Derrick’s claim. SHE’S OUR WITNESS got out late at York and flashed when it was all over. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – MOSHUKO WIN RACE 2 SCENIC STRIKE needs to turn the tables on Smoking Barrel but with the addition of the senior rider and an extra 150m he looks like he’s found a very winnable race. This is not deep and both of his runs this time in have been highly encouraging. Ready to win. SMOKING BARREL resumed without a trial at York last Sunday and carried 63kg. 8 days later he gets out to a more suitable 1650 and drops 3kg. ARCADIA JEWEL broke through to win a 2000m maiden at Pinjarra when last in work. Looks like she’ll need ground. JARMAN next best. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – SCENIC STRIKE WIN RACE 3 SHAKERATO seemed to appreciate the York style of racing last Sunday and finally showed something at the races. Now that he’s shown something and hopefully has built a bit of confidence he looks like he’s capable of breaking through. CAMPFIRE JACK ran a fast finishing second to Zaza Rock only two starts ago in a maiden. Since then Zaza Rock has won a C1 and a 54. Campfire Jack on the other hand hasn’t raced in 39 days and has been scratched in between. Awkward part of his campaign. MOON DOG ran his first minor at start 29 last week. THINKING GAME next best. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 4 – 6 Suggested Bet – SHAKERATO WIN RACE 4 YELLOW SUBMARINE has blinkers on for the first time and trialled nicely at Belmont Park recently. Ended up a long way back in two runs last preparation off the back of a highly impressive trial win at Belmont in February when beat Kisses From Kelly. IT’S A LOVE STORY has shown ability at trials from time to time. Has been to the races twice and not quite lived up to expectation but these maiden handicaps are not deep races and from the draw he should get every chance. TETUE BELLA ran a couple of cheeky races at odds down the 1000m straight at Pinjarra. SAFE HUSTLE hasn’t lived up to his trial when Keshaw set him alight. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 6 – 8 Suggested Bet – YELLOW SUBMARINE WIN RACE 5 THE GREAT HOYA has his first start for Jade Tangaroa. His early 2/3 year old form is easily good enough to win this. Was in the wilderness for a long time and is now only the winner of 1 from 13 but he’s more than capable and his trial was impressive. Worth a spec. BAYEZID is having his first start in WA and races without a barrier trial. He’s got speed and an inside draw and this is a great piece of placement to lob him into a lowly 46+. Big market watch. PRIMATIVE has shades added after running second to Crystal Vain last week and looks to turn the tables. CRYSTAL VAIN got the job done in style at York. Numbers: 6 – 2 – 3 – 1 Suggested Bet – THE GREAT HOYA WIN RACE 6 CHUCK A LUCK has returned in great order. First-up he finished 2.2L off Starry Heights in a 66+ mile, second-up he finished 1.1L off Candlelight Supper in a re-handicapped 72+ and finished right on the heels of the Boulder Cup favourite Villeins. One goes to a Listed Race and the other goes to a C5 2200. Right place, right time. DUN WITH THE BLUES is an emerging staying type and she’ll be hard to hold out with the right run into the race. Has a 5kg weight pull on Chuck A Luck and looks a big danger. ARNRAY is improving and appreciate being allowed to stride last start. KIA ORA JEWEL is honest. Numbers: 1 – 5 – 3 – 6 Suggested Bet – CHUCK A LUCK WIN RACE 7 ENCHANTING SOUND picks herself. She finished third behind Lucky’s Way and Gift Of The Heart in a Westspeed Platinum 1600 two starts ago. All of a sudden she’s back into a 46+ and she’s drawn to get the run of the race. Most of these are suspect at 1400 and she looks really hard to beat. PRETTY DIVINE has gone from a 60+ to a 52+ to a 46+ in her last three outings and looks like she’s just about ready to run a race. This is her best chance since arriving in WA. ACT INNOCENT was getting busy late at York last Sunday. SILVER SAX next best. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 7 – 6 Suggested Bet – ENCHANTING SOUND WIN RACE 8 MASTER BUDDHA was launched in betting at Pingrup and then again at Narrogin last preparation. He’s pretty handy for this grade of racing and Josh McLeod has been able to call on William Pike on a public holiday Monday. Catches the attention! TAK GOES BOOM would have been a moral beat at York last week if Stevie Parnham hadn’t found a gap when he did. Nice win. KENTUCKY BLUE was scratched from a field of 6 on Saturday at Belmont to save for this easier assignment. Respect. GOKU usually puts in a cheeky run fresh. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 4 – 2 Suggested Bet – MASTER BUDDHA WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 1,2,3,6 1,3,5 4 1,2,3,4,5 Market Market
