RACE 6 No.2 Almandin

Victorian trained galloper from the Lloyd Williams trained stable of staying stars who looked most unlucky when strung up for clear running in the recent Australian Cup at Flemington. The margin of only 1.5 lengths on the line should have been considerably less and arguably he should have finished in the placings. Third up stepping to 2400m looks ideal this time around, expect him to give Gailo Chop a real run for his money.

RACE 8 No. 2 Ecuador

Waterhouse/Bott trained galloper resuming from a break tomorrow. Interestingly he follows a very similar path to last campaign when having three trials prior to being beaten less than a length behind the champ Winx first up. Three trials once again however this time around he’s won the latest and in very good fashion by over 2 lengths. Will roll forward as usual and give this a big shake!

RACE 9 No. 13 Beau Geste

Starting to become a little costly however I’m prepared suggest he can get away with this race tomorrow. Looked a little flat early in the straight at Warwick Farm first up before really attacking the line late to go under by only a small margin. Certainly up to this grade (his 3yo form was very good in Stakes races) and drops 6kg in weight off that first up run. Ready to win again!
