Randwick 16 January – Thoroughbreds Preview Posted on January 15, 2016 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Preview RACE 9 No.2 Another Cocktail Chris Waller trained English import who put in a cracking run first up in Australia powering home from the back of the field to be beaten half a length over the mile trip. Whilst he stays at the distance he’ll strip a lot fitter for the outing and should settle a lot closer from the good gate as he was restrained from the wide alley last time. Big show. RACE 1 No.7 Marenostro Another Chris Waller trained galloper who resumed with a narrow win at Canterbury last Saturday lumping the big weight of 59.5kg. His form early on last campaign was outstanding winning his first three starts and he looks to have come back just as well this time in if last week is any guide. Significant weight drop tomorrow and suitable wet ground again sees him the one to beat. RACE 4 No.6 Emerald City David Vandyke trained gelding who looks very hard to beat tomorrow. Should be peaking at his third run back from a break tomorrow and was very unlucky not to have finished closer at Rosehill last time out when unable to gain clear running in the straight. Keep in mind he was a third up (& fourth) winner last campaign. Best Bet Race 1 No.7 Marenostro Best Value Race 5 No.13 Another Valley Quaddie 2, 3, 5, 7 / 2, 3, 6 / 2, 8, 11 / 2, 9 Bet Now
