Deane’s Moonee Valley Preview Posted on June 17, 2016June 20, 2016 | Posted by Deane Lester Deane Lester’s Preview RACE 5 NO. 4 WORLD OF HOPE Lightly raced filly WORLD OF HOPE looks a good each way play when she contests the Oneview Healthcare Handicap (1000m). The Dean Binaisse trained filly has won three of her six starts to date including a dominant win over 1000 metres at Cranbourne two starts back. At her most recent outing, the chestnut overraced and endured a tough run when finishing 9th behind MAGNAGEM over 1000 metres at Sandown on June 4. That was against older horses so WORLD OF HOPE will appreciate dropping back to three year old fillies grade and looks a genuine value bet on the Moonee Valley program. RACE 7 NO. 12 FIRSTHAND FIRSTHAND looks a smart horse in the making and looks a genuine winning chance again when he contests the Kane Constructions Handicap (1200m). The three year old was immediately spelled after an impressive winning debut over 1100 metres at Wyong in February this year. A recent trial at Rosehill would suggest that the son of Star Witness is primed for a good first-up showing again. This is a decent off-season three year old race, however FIRSTHAND looks the up and comer that will run well again. RACE 8 NO. 4 CHANCE TO DANCE The Travis Harrison Cup (1600m) has brought together a cracking field with several in-form horses, however it was hard not to be taken with the first-up effort of CHANCE TO DANCE and he looks a great winning chance. The Robert Hickmott trained import resumed from a spell with a fast finishing 4th behind JIMANDO over 1400 metres at Flemington on May 21, reeling off the best late sectionals of the day. He will be fitter for that run, steps up in distance and was a winner over this track/ distance last September beating his stablemate and subsequent group one winner THE UNITED STATES. He gets the benefit of Jordan Childs’ 2kg claim and CHANCE TO DANCE makes plenty of appeal. Bet Now
