The much anticipated bout between the undefeated Floyd Mayweather and the UFC pinup boy Conor McGregor has been given the green light and will take place in Las Vegas on August 26. The fight which has been touted as being the highest grossing event in the history of either sport where both Boxers stand to take home well in excess $100 million is expected to be one of the most publicised and viewed sporting events of 2017.

Mayweather has a professional record of 49 wins and 0 losses while McGregor, a two weight UFC champion, will be making his professional boxing debut.

The genuine intrigue in the fight will be whether McGregor can adapt his UFC skills to the pure boxing environment.
