Matt Young’s Wednesday Gloucester Park Preview Posted on November 6, 2024November 6, 2024 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 Three newcomers to the state create a lot of interest for this race. CYCLONE KADABRAMELIA (6) reads up just okay from the eastern states but is with a very good stable and should be respected coming in first up to WA. ALDEBARAN MARSHALL (5) and SHAKEMJENNY (2) are both first up in WA for Bruce Stanley and out of the trial the former is the one to follow from what I have seen. BEE BEE BEROC (7) has been trialling well and stepping nicely, expect him to run well on return. THE BEAT (1) can run into the novelties if he does everything right. Tips: 7 6 5 2 Suggested Bet: BEE BEE BEROC (7) each way. Race 2 HEARTOFAHLIA (6) has been really elevating in recent runs and although she has a wide draw to overcome, she will appreciate the drop in grade from Friday’s run and appeals as the hardest to beat. MISS UNEEK (1) has been solid since resuming and has options from the draw. MANEA (7) ran well on Saturday night in a race that didn’t suit back markers, she is ready to win but needs some luck. AMARETTO ANGEL (10) has the perfect draw and follows speed well, looks a novelty chance. Tips: 6 1 7 10 Suggested Bet: HEARTOFAHLIA (6) to win. Race 3 CORK CAN RUN (10) has had excuses in his two runs for the new stable, he has a tricky draw to overcome but this class is ideal. Go well in this with even racing luck. MONEY TIME MADNESS (1) can mix his form but has good early speed and should give a sight out in front. YOU FLY WITH ME (8) drops in grade but will have to overcome a wide draw, capable of running into the money at the top end. STELLA MAJOR (4), GOTA GOOD WARHOL (6) and STRIKE MASTER (11) are all chances but need some luck in running. Tips: 10 1 8 11 Suggested Bet: CORK CAN RUN (10) to win. Race 4 GREATGREAT BOULDER (9) is a speedy pacer who resumes here, he has above average ability and if he is anywhere near right he should be winning. ROCK ROSIE ROCK (7) can do work in her races and was a decent winner last time out, she represents the biggest danger with ROCKIN LE MONDE (6) who has the slight draw advantage, he has the speed to potentially lead and give them a sight. OURFIRSTIMPRESSION (1) has an ideal draw and can be prominent and play a part in the novelties. Tips: 9 7 6 1 Suggested Bet: GREATGREAT BOULDER (9) to win. Race 5 SUGAR APPLE (12) drops in grade perfectly and can watch things unfold in the early stages, this grade suggests he can be put into it at any stage and be very hard to beat. A number of chances to improve in this race depending on who finds the top. STRAUNY (2) will be coming out as hard as he can and if he could lead, he would give some cheek. UNDER THE ALTA (4) has improved recently and has some early speed, novelty player in this race. GEE SMITH (6) can bounce back after being beaten as a short-priced favourite at Collie. TORREVEAN AMY (9) returns but can be placed from a wide draw. Tips: 12 4 2 6 Suggested Bet: SUGAR APPLE (12) to win. Race 6 SWEET IVY (10) has been racing well since resuming under the care of Jocelyn Young, with average racing luck she will be thundering home and looks hard to hold out. COURAGE OF LOMBO (1) finally gets the draw and can be an improver in this, place chance at odds. CHAMBRAY (7) will be coming out hard and is a winning chance if she can cross. WORLD SECRET (8) can bounce back to her better form but will have to the work from a wide draw at some stage. LADY VIOLETTA (11) can improve second up and can watch things unfold early. SHEHADI (12) will be running on well. Tips: 10 8 11 1 Suggested Bet: SWEET IVY (10) to win. Race 7 ROBBIE EASTON (2) was solid in defeat last time out and he looks to bounce on the bunny here and be very hard to beat, looks might hard to run down in this. MAJOR FREEWAY (5) has come back well and expect him to be driven forward and stick on nicely. CAMS BOULDER (4) is racing well and is a novelty chance again. TUX AND TAILS (10) draws perfectly now and is a major novelty player following the rail and MAJOR OVERS (12) will be running on strongly. Tips: 2 10 5 12 Suggested Bet: TUX AND TAILS (10) to place. Race 8 SISTA SAMMY (2) has the draw advantage and is a talented type, goes over the longer journey here and if she can hold up early, she should be able to get the job done. EYE BETTER (1) has the speed to hold up early and be a place chance from the good draw. FRANCO WESTERN (10) has the perfect draw and over the longer trip he will be dangerous late if he can get into the clear. LOMBO MITCHINSON (3) comes into this race fresh, he has been consistent. GALAXY WARRIOR (11) will be getting home well with GOODEALEHMADDIE (12) who steps up in grade but has good closing speed. Tips: 2 1 10 3 Suggested Bet: EYE BETTER (1) to place. Race 9 STORYTELLER (2) comes in fresh and really turned a corner in his last few runs, looks very hard to beat from anywhere in this field. BONNE AMOUR (5) has elevated in recent runs and should put in a bold performance here. ON THE BACK FOOT (4) first up for the new stable will appreciate the small field and get home well. AMERICAN CRUISE (7) on the quick backup from Monday was decent and can close off into a novelty position. Tips: 2 5 4 7 Suggested Bet: BONNE AMOUR (5) to place. Market Market
