Matt Young’s Tuesday Gloucester Park Preview

Race 1

HEAVENLY BLISS (1) has the good draw and the speed to lead, distance looks to suit and although she’s not at the top of her game, she looks well placed to give them something to catch. DOWNBYTHEAVENUE (6) has shown the most but has been mixing in form, could be an improver in this. STRAYLYA (7) faces a tricky draw but has speed and performed well from a breeze position recently and normally holds form well once reaching it. AGENT ANDY (8) looks tested from the draw off the back of a recent win. VISITING HOURS (9) drawn poorly, place chances look best from here. SUNPATRA (10) one for the novelties but isn’t racing well and SWANBOURNE SPUNK (11) and KARAOKE STAR (12) capable of running on.

Suggested Bet: HEAVENLY BLISS (1) each way.

Race 2

Wide open race here. AMARETTO ANGEL (2) has the nice draw and gate speed to lead, distance suits and Aiden De Campo jumps aboard, looks set to run a good race. Plenty of speed outside of her with EASTON QUALITY (4) who trialled up well recently but really needs to get to the rail to be an earning chance. DAMAGE DONE (6), EN PARIANT SUR (7), SONIC SEELSTER (8) and STIRUP IRON JACK (9) do their best racing using their early speed and racing on pace and are unlikely to get that luxury unless they breeze. DAT LOVELY (10) racing well but faces a tricky draw and will need a few things to go her way. DANGER (12) will be running home. VYBRANT (3) just needs to find a position with her lack of early dash, she will be running on late.

Suggested Bet: AMARETTO ANGEL (2) each way.

Race 3

KINKY (6) returned with a brave effort and should bounce of that run well and will likely have to do the work again but looks very hard to hold out late. ADMIRAL DARCY (1) is nicely drawn and won well at Narrogin last time out, has options and looks to run well again. BLITZAR (10) nicely drawn and will get a soft run after having some tricky draws to work with expecting him to be prominent. REELEM INN (8) is capable but faces a tricky map and novelty chances to AMERICAN MONARCH (5) and VINTAGE BLU (12).

Tips: 6 1 10 8

Suggested Bet: VINTAGE BLU (1) to win.

Race 4

Deep race. IM EUGENE (1) won well and fought on strongly last time out and does rise in distance but could give them something to chase even though he goes up in grade. THE BETTOR SIDE (6) is a hard to side with given the fact he gets close but doesn’t stick his neck out all that often. FLYING FELIX (4) is a nice type who should be reaching peak fitness, and I can see him winning plenty of races in his career, could map reasonably in this and be swooping late. LIL HAPPY FELLA (7) not suited from the draw; map looks awkward with ROX THE WORLD (8) who is talented but is first up. ELWADDELL (9) needs things to go his way from the poor draw. GOODTIME LOUIS (10) a winning chance with even luck.

Suggested Bet: FLYING FELIX (4) each way.

Race 5

Another open race, not a huge amount of exposed form. SWITCH BLADE (11) is racing well enough and is a versatile type which could come into play in this race and expect him to go well. BONSTAR (1) has options from the draw and hasn’t been having much luck as of late. HES A COOL MACH (3) could be an improver in this, his best is right up to these as his stable mate BAND OF ROCK (12) goes up in grade but has some high speed to run home well. ZUEDE (10) a winning chance if he doesn’t settle too far back.

Tips: 11 1 3 12

Suggested Bet: SWITCH BLADE (11) to win.

Race 6

AZIONE (2) returns and was starting to show enough last time in, has the draw to potentially run to the lead and be hard to beat in this. DOUGS LEGACY (11) also returns but has shown decent promise in previous runs to be a major player here and the draw should push him into a decent position. ROCKNROLL DILINGER (4) is getting closer, needs to find a position early. STARANNA (5) has had a few opportunities as MIDWIFE CALLING (6) has improved well and might not be too far away, likely to head forward. SUPREME RHAPSODY (12) has shown enough but has failed to really live up to the early market expectations.

Tips: 2 11 6 12

Suggested Bet: AZIONE (2) to win.

Race 7

MATERNAL DREAMS (3) has raced strongly since making his way to the stables of Micheal Ferguson, looks a big chance to work to the top and be hard to run down, good test but looks ready to take on the challenge. AMERICAN FALCON (7) reads up well for his WA debut and with the newly named Hall of Famer’s in Team Bond, respect. WHEELSOFORTUNUE (9) has come back strongly, and he can do his own dirty work, likely to end up on the speed and keeping them honest. THE FINAL OFFER (6) will look to improve off the first up effort, novelty chance with the newcomer SIZZLE ORO (5).

Tips: 3 9 7 6

Suggested Bet: MATERNAL DREAMS (3) to win.

Race 8

MAJESTIC GA GA (7) picks herself; she’s been massive in recent victories and really had to dig to the reserves for a gutsy victory last Tuesday, only concern for her is if those runs take their toll but other than that, how could you possibly knock her. MRIYA DREAM (2) has been racing well and has drawn nicely, should run well. LINE THE STARZZZ (3) is going well and with the small field, shouldn’t settle too far from them. PATCHED (6) capable but was disappointing last time out. CHUMANI (5) a novelty chance.

Tips: 7 2 3 6

Suggested Bet: MRIYA DREAM (2) to place.

Race 9

LUKES MISTAKE (5) can use the 10m advantage over his main rival and stablemate and could be the difference, will try and bounce and roll early and is a big chance to get to the top and be very hard to run down. GEE SMITH (8) is racing well in metro grade, jumping and settling close to the speed in recent runs and very much suited in this. BOBBY WATERHOUSE (4) competed well in the no race at Northam and expecting him to run well under the new regime. IDEAL WHITBY (2) a novelty chance with SMOKEYS SHADOW (3).

Tips: 5 8 4 3

Suggested Bet: LUKES MISTAKE (5) to win.
