Matt Young’s Tuesday Gloucester Park Preview Posted on October 29, 2024October 29, 2024 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 BENJI (7) looks suited here with the size of the field and the possible early pressure to suit his racing style. The gelding is racing well and appears the one to beat. UNLUCKY (2) has some depth and just needs to hold the runners to her outside, she can be hit and miss from the gate. BLACKROCK (3) Is racing consistently and shouldn’t be far away; he has good early speed. RODASI (4) can do the work and looks better suited in this. ADMIRAL DARCY (1) ideally drawn and is one for your novelties as he rises in grade. Tips: 7 2 3 4 Suggested Bet: BENJI (7) to win. Race 2 MANEA (2) has been performing well from wide draws and was unlucky last time out, she has some early speed and represents each way value here. IRRESISTIBLE (8) has been racing in harder fields and this looks suitable, she has been a beaten favourite, and we are still learning more about her, happy to look outside with her likely being quite short. MISS UNEEK (1) was unlucky on return and has a good draw, keep safe for your novelties. COPY OF PARIS (3) has been racing against nice types and is suited to the grade, each way. Tips: 2 8 3 1 Suggested Bet: MANEA (2) each way. Race 3 FRISKY STYX (5) was solid in his first effort for the stables of Four Diamonds Pacing and Aiden De Campo, this is a significant drop in grade, and I think he will get the job done here but likely be on the shorter side. Looks a multi builder. ROBBIE EASTON (4) had a good opportunity last start and was a touch disappointing, he looks a decent chance to fill a top 3 position. THE RIGHTEOUS (1) is ideally drawn for him and becomes a novelty player. SUGAR APPLE (12) is capable of improvement. RAMBO RABBIT (10) will follow the rail well, keep him in mind for novelty contention with BEYOND BLING (11). Tips: 5 4 1 12 Suggested Bet: FRISKY STYX (5) to win. Race 4 SISTA SAMMY (4) looks dropped into this race perfectly and should be winning on what we have seen. She is a speedy but also tough mare who will likely be a multi builder and short here. MAKE IT QUICK (1) has the perfect draw and has some early speed and can hold up early and I think they’ll sit and he becomes a really good place hope. HENGHENG (10) has the nice draw but does lack a little top end speed which is concerning in that trailing role. TUMBLIN DICE (11) has come back well, he will be finishing off well, novelty player. ACOLTNAMEDSU (3), TUX AND TAILS (5) and MAJOR OVERS (8) all capable of running into the novelties. Tips: 4 1 10 11 Suggested Bet: MAKE IT QUICK (1) to place. Race 5 GOODEALEHMADDIE (10) drops in grade massively but has a tricky draw to overcome, she is not a horse who makes her own luck as a rule and could go up a ridiculously short favourite. She should win in most scenarios but hard to tip into the quote. CHAMPAGNE STYLE (1) hasn’t really done much since coming back to suggest improvement, but they have been from bad draws and is now third up in the prep and expecting an improvement sitting close to the speed. SHEHADI (2) is racing well and suited by the draw, should be close enough. ROCKIN THE TREND (11) can follow the pegs and be a chance to run top 4. ALFA PRINCESS (4) and FOLLOW THE ARK (5) are both racing well but awkward draws make it harder for them. Tips: 10 1 2 11 Suggested Bet: CHAMPAGNE STYLE (1) each way. Race 6 Could be a bit happening in the early stages here. PRIDDAH (1) was a nice winner on Friday, this is much harder but, on that performance, he can use his early speed to try and hold as forward a position as possible. GOV STARZZZ (2) was good last time out, he did the work at both ends and nearly won, he is versatile and should run well and will no doubt be looking to lead. GALAXY WARRIOR (4) is ready to win, has been quite unlucky and the tempo could suit him nicely, has good early speed in his own right. ROCKANDROLLARTIST (5) will meet with some push back in trying to get to the top but if he does happen to cross, he is most likely going to win. FRANCO WESTERN (6) will be running on well, tempo could suit and he is racing better than form suggests. Tips: 4 2 6 5 Suggested Bet: GALAXY WARRIOR (4) each way. Race 7 ROCK ROSIE ROCK (3) has decent ability and has good early speed, did things wrong last start when going too quick into the first bend, she can use her speed and likely find the top and be very hard to beat here. SOHO CONFIDENTIAL (4) has come back soundly and shouldn’t be too far away, he doesn’t win out of turn these days though. STRIKE MASTER (5) had every chance last time out and likely won’t be far away again. COHLIN (2) can improve and use that early speed to get around the moderate beginner in THE LIGHTNING STRIKE (1). IL BANDITO (6) could be a player but needs to cross and that looks problematic given the speed to his inside. Tips: 3 4 5 2 Suggested Bet: ROCK ROSIE ROCK (3) to win. Race 8 JACKIE DANIELS (6) has come back well, she has the draw advantage and has some good early speed, she can spear across and lead and run a bold race. CORK CAN RUN (7) finds a very suitable race and is a talented type, he was solid enough for his run for the stable and he will be the hardest to hold out. FIORD (4) will appreciate the smaller field but looks more a place chance. THE BATMOBILE (1) can elevate into top 4 chances from the barrier. LUKES MISTAKE (5) can improve here. Tips: 6 7 4 1 Suggested Bet: JACKIE DANIELS (6) to win. Race 9 FABULOUS DREAM (7) appears to be a nice type and lengthened beautifully to win impressively on debut at Pinjarra, steps up to the middle distance but looks talented and very hard to beat. BULL SHARK BETTY (8) will be benefitted for that last win, she was fresh going into that so expecting an even better performance here, she appears the main danger. LADIESHAVTIME (6) is talented but needs a safe getaway to play any part, a bit risky at her opening quote. MARGIMAC (4) was solid last time out at Pinjarra and is a genuine contender to run top 4. SHES ALL GO (5) goes to the outside which makes it harder for her. Tips: 7 8 6 4 Suggested Bet: FABULOUS DREAM (7) to win Market Market
