Harry Buchanan’s Wednesday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on August 16, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 4 No. 4 Every Step She has some ability this dog but is still awkward and learning what it’s all about. Continues to race better and she could land a spot here and give a sight with her late race strength getting better each time. Spec for her at the odds. Race 5 No. 5 Sneaky Pint and No. 8 Molfetta Drive (late watch on No. 7 Skye Monelli) Keen to play this race. The 5 was unlucky last time. Missed a gap then found trouble again before charging late in a good effort. His draw is the issue here. A few crashers in this. The 8 is over the odds. If he can show a bit more early, he is strong late and could run into this. I will also monitor the 7 for a late drift into doubles. Broke her maiden well last week and gets room here early. Couple of ways to see this through. Race 6 No. 6 Cash Key and No. 5 Dozen Staples A few specs at odds here. The 6 can go fast early when he steps. This is a race he could lead if he hops out. Big drop in company here too. The 5 simply plays for luck every start into the back. This is the sort of race she could get it. Grinds home in 22.20 which could be winning this as the field is that steady. If the run comes, she will keep taking them. Place heavy for her. Race 7 No. 3 Nitro Jet and No. 1 Stella Forever The 3 did what we expected last week and there is no reason that acceleration can not be moved from box 1 to box 3. It’s a simple case of leading and winning. They don’t run him down. He wants the arm though. The 1 gets her box now. Has been plagued by horror draws and she’s a different dog when drawn inside. Gets a run here into the back and keeps finding. EW go for her. Race 8 No. 5 Joe The Lion Has met with heavy support early. Superb performance last week over the 380 when he mowed down Watch Me in good time. Gets a gun map here and the trip will present no issues going on his Northam 500s. Can deliver a knockout blow in a potentially messy race. Race 9 No. 9 Muka Mayhem and No. 3 Absolute Fun Would love to see the 6 get a start here and off an inside draw. This is her race. She went well on Sunday when not getting early luck but stuck on ok. Different story if she led this. The 3 is a good EW play here and will give a sight. Finds the early fence then just sustains a run home that should see her hit the frame at a price. Race 10 No. 4 Electric Data and No. 3 Cash Monelli Our mate in 4 got it done last week after stepping his best and finding the arm quickly. He has more of a job to do that again with the speed in 1 and 2 but he doesn’t have to lead where they do. He is also better on the run home so if he’s close enough he can get them late. The 3 could surprise if he gets a run into the back along the fence. Has a few tricks so trust needed but is capable and can figure here if he gets a break early. Race 11 No. 7 Chloe Ant and No. 3 Hecton’s Boy The 7 disappointed last week. The move out wide not so bad here with the small field and she will go better this time. Strong home and just needs to obtain some room first turn. The 3 was unlucky to not land right there last time. He almost got the spot before being surrounded by dogs and pushed out the back. Don’t ignore him. He’s not going as bad as it looks. Race 12 No. 6 Squeeze Li A clean step and a look is all we want here. Best dog in the race and box is ok. Start critical and just needs to nail it and get 15m of room early. If they give that to her, this is over. Huge huge show here. Great price and best bet. Market Market
