The Scout: Women’s World Cup Matchday 23

Semi Final (2)

Australia v England

Having come off the bench to play 65 minutes against France in the semi-final, Sam Kerr should make her first start of the World Cup. Emily van Egmond would likely make way for the star striker, with coach Tony Gustavsson having a settled line-up otherwise. Heavy legs may be an issue following extra time and penalties last time out.

England are again without Lauren James who has one more game left on her suspension. Consequently, it is unlikely that there will be any changes to the starting side that overcame Colombia. Alessia Russo and Lauren Hemp will be big threats once again in attack, while goalkeeper Mary Earps has been in great form all tournament.
