Harry Buchanan’s Saturday Greyhound Tips Posted on January 21, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 5 No. 6 Couch Surfer Grade 5 final. He’s a serious talent this bloke and the draw isn’t that bad for mine. Parks up close and wide to muster around with a lap to go and he can reel off sections from there. He and the 2 have plenty on this field on the clock but she has a tricky draw. Good race. Early luck everything. Race 8 No. 6 Block Chain What a performance last week to win off the outside. The way he handled himself was sensational and the best in the business has him flying. Draw ok here and follows the 5 across to get every chance to repeat last week. Race 11 No. 7 Row Keeping Simply should have won last week. Was a breath of crossing to the arm and that would have been it. Will again show pace and if he rushes across cleaner this time he will be a big threat. Can hit the podium at a big price. THE MEADOWS Race 3 No. 4 Trending Zara A Grade 6/7 final. The 4 will get a sneaky first turn run here and she can run good middle and last sections. Rarely out of the placings and races well here. Don’t dismiss EW. Race 6 No. 6 Modern Collinda Super effort last week beating a FFA field in style. Moves to box 6 but gets a downgrade for that and can handle the draw. Clearly the one to beat and racing well. Race 8 No. 6 Dynamic Prince Comes out of the Warragul Cup series. Has a tremendous turn of foot off the mat and wide draw spot on for him. 6 time winner here and will rush forward and look for the arm early. He gets it, he goes close. Race 10 No. 3 Jigglypuff Great EW price now she has her favoured draw closer in. Boxes have beaten her since resuming and will surprise these if she steps her best. Strong and can hit top-two. Smokie’s hope and a good one if she gets any luck at all. WENTWORTH PARK Race 2 No. 1 Mia She’s Fast Didn’t quite get into off the outside last week. Better draw this time and will use the fence to settle forward and she can run time. Track and trip record super and goes close this time. Race 4 No. 4 Father Rick and No. 8 Zipping Alabama The Collerson and another ripping edition. The 4 is ultra consistent and can lead or come from back. Good draw outside Yuko here and will be prominent throughout. Watch for the 8 late. She storms into this with any luck up the back and has a very fast win here. Place heavy player there. Race 5 No. 7 Zipping Neutron The Summer Plate final. Let’s be candid here. The 8 is the best stayer in Australia at the moment. Can sprint, can stay, can lead, runs on, doesn’t matter. He is not a betting price however and there is a world he doesn’t get over here. The 7 is a bolter’s chance. He is getting better and while he is a few tenths off the fav, he could be a bit in front of him here and he can stay. Big price but his heat run was enough to get a little involved here at the quote on the EW basis. Race 6 No. 6 Zipping Mercedes and No. 8 Baby Jaycee The Futurity final for the girls. The 8 is a FFA bitch who has an unbeaten record off box 8 and was superb in the heat after looking a little lost. If she spears out and leads, it’s over. Can even run on from off the arm. The smokie’s hope EW is the 6. Strong and has a lot of talent. Is she gets any early luck she will run home hard on to the podium and is an EW save go least. Race 7 No. 2 Lawless and No. 9 Palawa King The National Derby for the boys. I think the 2 is a great show here. Mapped to get a lovely run and his heat run had improvement written all over it for this week. Chases hard and has run into quality VIC dogs in city class races and can deliver a knockout blow here. First turn critical but if he gets a look, he’s in it. EW all day with just an ounce of luck. The 9 gets a start and he’s the strongest in the race. Gets back but smashes the line and any trouble at all he will simply capitalise on. Storms into this late. Can hit the podium. Race 8 – THE PAWS OF THUNDER No. 3 Gatlin, No. 5 Amron Boy and No. 8 She’s a Pearl No clear opinion here but these are the 3 I think can fight it out. The 3 is going better than it looks and he can surprise if he steps. The 5 is the fastest dog in the race with the worse draw while the 8 is the best dog around this track whose box manners have been dicey lately. She can improve that here. Any one of them could win without surprising. Great race and if you like one, then good luck but we might have a little go on the 3 EW for this year’s Paws.
