Still went sub-30 last week and this is markedly easier. Good EW go and will work home again. Race 4 No. 7 Elite Machine Weapons hot!! That’s exactly what this bloke is at the moment. At risk of sounding biased, he is the best dog in WA right now but the challengers are about to show their hands in this affair. Boxed to waltz down to the first turn outside Crumble Monelli and then show that thunderous acceleration through the middle section that wins his races. Needs to be on song however as Crumble and Electrified aren’t here to let him run away with this and the 1 put in a tremendous performance to win his heat driving hard late in a good chasing effort in fast time. He needs to address the kennel mate early here and won’t have time to muck around with that while the others are out and running. These 3 are a clear indication of the strength in WA sprinting ranks and we are set for a great spectacle a week out from the Sandgroper. Race 5 No. 6 Hurricane Taylor and No. 7 Gangnam Monelli The 6 can do better here. I prefer him off the track and his record reflects that. Should be at peak fitness now and will muster up and land handy. Needs to get in front of this fav who is racing well but won’t be able to dwell at box rise before going quick. The 7 is a smokie. Another who goes ok off outside boxes and won’t be hassled early while looking for a spot. Sticks on well and can place at least. Race 6 No. 4 Travers Mania and No. 8 Sailor Jim The 4 needs an early look at the arm here. If he can get under this fav and focus, he can go on with it and win this or hit top 2 at least. Has the ability. The 8 will again go fast to try and lead and he is capable. Getting progressively better and can get under 30 with clear room and the arm. Will take the next step soon. Race 7 No. 1 Bedrock Fred Super win last week when unleashing a big run up the back to go for a 41.7 victory. Back to 600m a slight worry as he can take some time to find his spot and needs all the room he can get. Should still get it early enough to run on for a podium finish and can win again. Win last week too good to ignore. Race 8 No. 7 Dusty Deluxe and No. 5 Anasazi Monelli Good race coming up with several hopes. The 7 was huge last week imo. Tried to lead but pushed back the fence only to try a race winning move at the top and not committing to in or out. Better off out here and can get the room to make the right decisions and has good sectionals. The 5 is enigmatic and has tricks but stacks of ability. Almost led herself but stood up into the straight the first time and knocked back before coming again. She could sneak away here if she steps. 8 will try to lead again, the 1 will work home well late and has the box, the 4 is better than his form shows and the 2 is racing well but will have more traffic this time to get past. THE MEADOWS Race 2 No. 6 Fabs Max Potato Had no right to place last week after walking out, coming from last and minute back and even though there was some trouble in front of him, he was already making strong ground. Can step better and and we get the doubles to find out at the place heavy play. Big EW show this time. Race 4 No. 7 Ailee Bale The clear and obvious danger to the fav. Went super last week behind Valor Bale and the small field suits. She can lead or come from back and will look the winner at some stage if she is untouched. Race 5 No. 1 Money and Power and No. 2 Hummock Grade 5 final. The 1 got the prize at $101 in his heat and moves to box 1 this time. Don’t underestimate him as his best work is done here and he’s hard to catch when he is close to the arm. The 2 is a very good and delivered a barnstorming heat win. Drawn well again and will be strong late as usual and can run time. Both dogs can figure here. Race 6 No. 7 Indy Fido He gets a fair grade drop here. Has faced the better dogs around here and has won 6 times track and trip. Needs to fence but has an uncanny way of finding it every time and goes fast mid section. Can hit top 2 with clear running. Race 7 No. 5 Serena Bale Super EW show here. Loves the track and trip and can lead or come from back. Prefer her over this sprint trip and will look ominous if she offsets the box early. Watch for her late here at a great quote. Race 10 No. 8 Jigglypuff Jiggly went as close as she’s gone in some time last start. She is starting to show the ability we know she has and will again look to run into this up the back. Again with a place heavy investment here and she will charge home as usual and this is again winnable. WENTWORTH PARK Race 2 No. 8 Mortified and No. 2 Street Of Dreams How could one not be impressed with the 8 last week. Set dazzling fractions and simply didn’t stop in very fast time. Loves this draw and will take no amount of stopping here. The 2 will go better off this box. Could not offset tough draws his last two and will enjoy being back near the fence. Can figure. Race 3 No. 8 I’m Loving It The Ultra Sense final. I thought the 8 has a sneaky EW show here. Solid heat run and trained by a bloke who gets them right for the finals. Won’t be in the early battle and will need first turn luck but if he runs into up the back he will take some holding out. Place heavy play here. Race 4 No. 5 Spring Patriot and No. 3 Nangar Chief One of these should be first on the scene behind the pace here and that spells danger. The 3 coming off a fast Dubbo win and the 5 an unlucky Egg semi run. Both can be in the finish here with a slight leaning to the 5 for his grade drop. Race 5 No. 2 Zipping Whiskey and No. 4 Riptide Ruslie The 2023 Association Cup at Group 1 level. The 2 was sublime in his heat coming from a mile back and descending like a proper strong staying type. Smokes the pipe again here and look for him to start his work up the back. The 4 will go better than most think and can surprise at huge odds. Looked a little edgy feeling his way around in the heat but the look will have done him the world of good. Don’t completely dismiss him EW. Race 6 No. 3 Got The Feature and No. 1 Palawa King The New Sensation final. Keen on the 3 here to find the arm and set these alight up the back. Superb off the 8 last week and better suited here and will step and go early. Last section is where they can get him but he can get away and be hard to reel in if untouched. The 1 is boxed to go well. No pace but stays on the fence here and goes through he gears up the back and hits the line hard. Any luck and he is in the finish. Race 7 No. 8 Father Rick, No. 6 Wiradjuri Jack and No. 7 Kaheem Bale The way they are boxed, I feel one of these out wide will get the luck here. Dogs boxed in wanting off and the same from 5 in reverse. All 3 are strong and priced to play. Leaning towards the 8 on top who is drawn well while the 7 will look for the fence up the back and the 6 can go quickly after the start. Staked accordingly we can get a result on the EW basis and possibly more than one result. Race 8 No. 4 Reflections and No. 8 Elite Alex The 2023 Golden Easter Egg final. Not a vintage edition by any means but competitive, open and still a great spectacle. Some wonderful stories in this and someone could live out the dream here. The 4 got a run as a reserve in the semi to qualify. She knows this track backwards. Has early speed and a great record here. Needs to lead but will be hard to catch if she crosses. He 8 has the all Important “sense of timing” about him. Boxed to moonwalk down to the first turn and if he leads, it’s over. If he lands close, it’s on. Will get his chance and is a very good dog. Chances to 1 and 2 who can show early dash and run time. The rest sadly will all need miracle first runs to figure this year but it’s an Egg, it’s at Wentworth Park and anything can happen. Great efforts from 5,6,7 who were all unexpected finalists and a tremendous thrill for connections. If you like one, get on. It’s that open this year. Race 9 No. 5 Brother Bearing It’s a fair wait but this is bet of the night at the price. The Masters final. Both 2 and 9 are scratched already so that will allow this bloke an even better chance to be first on scene when the red leads. His run last week was tremendous considering he tripped at the start. Has gone fast in VIC and is working his way back to his top and looks ready. Will step better this time and if he strikes the front at any stage of this race, they will need more than a big last section to mow him down. An EW price to play and best bet. Market Market
