Can roll down to the first turn and land top 3 early and he becomes a major threat then. Ready now after 3 runs back and will be hard to hold out here. Race 5 No. 4 No Limit Needed Ultra consistent and back to Cannington now after some time. Will try and lead these but even if she settles up there, she can finish in the money as she sticks on solidly. Look for her to set the pace and hard to beat if that happens. Track and trip stats superb. Race 8 No. 1 Close Contact Boxed to win and one monster EW show here. Slow beginner in 2 and he’s faced much better dogs than this in the past. Only has to hold a position early and if he strikes the top at any stage, it’s over. Should not miss the dais and best bet on the EW basis. THE MEADOWS Race 4 No. 5 Jigglypuff Here we go again. She just keeps finding easier races and just keeps finding ways to blow it. She is close enough to the fence here that there can be no more excuses. If she doesn’t hit the frame top 3 here she will be lucky to win another race. The best dog in the worst form but can turn it around in one snap. Race 5 No. 2 Dotty’s Gift Promising type who looks like she can stay. Will enjoy the smaller field and if she can land a little closer this time she will come into this strongly up the back. Needs to show something now and can hit top 2 for the collect. Race 7 No. 5 Greysynd Shock Will dart out of the middle here and go for the arm quickly. Much better dog when allowed to bowl along in front and even though he races wide, he sustains a long run home and is very hard to catch when dictating terms. Gets that chance here. WENTWORTH PARK Race 2 No. 1 Hello Mike and No. 7 Energizer Miss First Egg heat. The 1 is boxed to find a minute on his heat run and gets the best map ever here. Can show better pace and if he strikes the top, it’s check and mate. Should hit top 2. The 7 is a sneaky saver at odds. Hits the line well and will work home better than most think. Small save EW there but the red is the one. Race 3 No. 4 Kelsey Bale Genuine group performer who was unlucky at Cannington when unable to clear the dog inside for most the trip. Can offset bad boxes, run serious time and competed against the best. The 8 hard to beat and he has some ability but he found out last start in the Australian Cup final what it is like in proper races when not given a gift draw. The 4 can do it from anywhere and the price difference will reflect that. 8 has the box advantage he needs to beat her but she will still pay a top 2 price if she can offset the box. Both should advance. Race 5 No. 8 Ailee Bale and No. 2 She’s A Pearl The 8 is a good top 2 show here. First up at the track but she performs on a variety of tracks and can handle the draw. If she’s close she’s a threat. She will not be able to give the champ in 2 a start. Reigning Egg champion who will go fast as usual and lead throughout with a clean start. Good race nonetheless. Race 6 No. 2 Came And Went Disappointed last week when he was close enough. Moves to the inside again now and will muster up quickly after box rise. If he takes the arm he has a 29.6 in him and that won’t be caught here. Needs to nail the box rise and it’s game on. Race 7 No. 6 Yachi Bale With the scr of the 3, it brings this Melb Cup winner right into it. Has had a little freshen and will be ready to go here. Can unleash devastating sections when he’s on and gets his chance to show that here. Watch for him up the back. Can go deep into this series. Race 8 No. 3 Jay Is Jay Speaking of going a long way into the series, this is the fastest dog in the whole contest. Broke the Albion Park track record last start and has trialled here in fast time first look. Has no equal one out against anything in this years egg and would smack them all with clear running. That’s all he needs and he puts these to an early bed. Should advance with little trouble and should win. Market Market
