Harry Buchanan’s Tuesday Greyhound Tips

CANNINGTON

Race 5 No. 5 Fearless One

Super effort first up track and trip last week and poised to improve some more here. Kept sticking on well even though he looked a little lost. Just needs to offset the box to becomes a solid EW show.

Race 7 No. 1 Global Plan

Well this is it. Weeks of bad boxes and following him come to this and that’s him sitting up in the cherry. His form ensures the price but his best will put these away. Start critical and confidence down but gets his best chance in a long time and has a very different record off the inside boxes. If he finds the top it will be check and mate. He just needs to find it or settle close. Great EW shot.

Race 8 No. 1 Watanabe

Another who won’t know himself in the red here. Was in a striking position last start when carted and checked and goes much better off the inside. Plagued by tough draws lately so gets his chance to pounce on to the arm here and give a sight at EW odds.

Race 9 No. 2 Litchfield

Has found a leg, maybe two in her last few runs. Won convincingly here last start holding Aquila off and running good time. Very different dog now and really should put these away with the main threat scratched.

MURRAY BRIDGE

Race 4 No. 2 Lots Of Poise

Gave So Be It the shock of his life last week when running him to less than a length in very fast time. Seems to excel up this straight and will take no end of stopping in this smaller field. Repeat of last week will see him score.

Race 8 No. 2 Woodside Zulu

The class runner here with a sustained turn of foot. The only downside is it can take him a little bit to wind up to that speed over this shorter trip. In saying that, they have no hope of stopping him if he gets clear running when he does reach full flight. The gap is all he needs here. Will be very hard to stop if it appears. Should not miss the dais.

Race 12 No. 4 Jalapeño Jewel and No. 3 Land Of Promise

The 4 gets her chance here. Strange dog who is steady early. Didn’t quite finish off over the longer trip last time and has that short sprint she holds briefly when wound up that is suited to 300m racing. The 3 gets to the fence and drives home here every time she steps out. Rarely runs a bad race up the straight and will look ominous late. Save there.
