Harry Buchanan’s Saturday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on July 8, 2023July 8, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 2 No. 1 Inside Scoop Gets the good draw now and will be ready to show his best. Has already delivered a few 30.2s from outside draws in his short career and can show up early to be prominent up the back and strong home. Big show. Race 3 No. 5 King Tommy and No. 6 West On Boonie The Westchase final and field of promising young dogs. The former star Tommy Shelby well represented here and a few of his progeny can take this with luck. The 5 has a big future. Has speed and strength and reeled out a super 29.67 leading all the way. A repeat goes close here and draw isn’t terrible. The 6 will run on and he has a serious engine when wound up. If he can find a first turn spot, he will be charging into this and hard to stop late. Race 4 No. 5 Couch Surfer and No. 2 Blessed Doll WA’s premier stayer steps back up to 700 and his last few have showed he’s crying out for it. Only has to navigate a clear passage to win. The 2 is racing out of her skin and she can run into this up the back again. Should hit the frame with any luck off a good draw. Playing 5 and saving 2 EW. Race 6 No. 5 Poppa Monno Old mate back after a few weeks off. Fresh for this so could land closer than usual and we know what we get with this bloke. Runs on very strongly and will once again look to hit the frame at good EW odds. A race of many chances but this fav in 2 is poison with his ordinary map and box 2 stats. A watch on the 4 first up who is good. Race 10 No. 4 Acing Kuna and No. 1 Get Out The 4 broke her maiden last start which allowed this step up in trip. If ever a dog has been desperate for 600 it’s her. A clear run should see her go very close here and she will develop into a nice stayer later. Save the 1 who is boxed to show up again. Runs this out well and while he wont have the 4s run home, he will look threatening at the top here. Don’t ignore him. Race 11 No. 5 Zinc If only he finds his old box manners. Should that happen, he will give this a mighty shake. Looking for him to spear over old style and then cut loose with a fast middle section to set up the win. Chances hinge on the start only. Race 12 No. 7 Paua Of Molly and No. 2 Joe The Lion The 7 is a huge show here if she comes out with them. No luck last start on a tougher race and has very strong form back through the 500s. If she gets there quickly, she will be winning. The 2 gets a better draw this time and can surprise. Only has to land close up the back and he sustains a good run home. Keep in mind. THE MEADOWS Race 4 No. 7 Raven Owl Steps up to the staying trip and looks ready. Terrific strike rate and strong 600m winner and the small field perfect here. Looks set to land close and run this right out. Race 6 No. 6 My Catalina Big quote here about a dog who races well at the track and can descend strongly when wound up. Super record track and trip and look for her to chime in up the back and hit top 2 with a little luck. Race 11 No. 7 Gabby’s Gyros and No. 2 Sister Sticker The 7 again stormed home last week after taking a little while to get into it. The small field here suits much better and she is clearly the best dog in the race. Just needs to get into this early. The 2 has ability and runs on well. Drawn to get a lovely run here and she will hit the line with gusto. Save there. Market Market
