Harry Buchanan’s Saturday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on November 4, 2023November 5, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 3 No. 6 Ghost Emoji and No. 7 Inside Scoop First heat of the Young Star and the 6 is handy and gets room to move early here. Has a 29.82 here and he’s strong so small field suits. The 7 threw it away last time but giving him the benefit of the doubt and gets one chance to prove the brakes didn’t go on. Has a lot of talent. Race 4 No. 3 All About Stone and No. 1 Sneaky Pint The 3 broke through last time for a deserved win. Drawn to get a nice run here and he’s getting better every time. The 1 drops back from 600 and gets the inside which is a huge plus. He can surprise these if he steps and holds up early. Don’t ignore him. Race 6 No. All About Coal and No. 8 West On Boonie The 2 can run a cheeky race at odds here. Looking for further but small field and draw suits and will run home well late. The 8 is the class runner. Has been racing supreme competition and is boxed to win. His best walks in against this age class race. Race 7 No. 7 Molfetta Cruise The 7 is well boxed here and he’s racing at his top. Can get up there early or come from off the arm and will present at some stage looking the winner. Great show in this. Race 8 No. 7 Molfetta Drive and No. 5 Pepper Grinder The 7 like his kennel mate in the previous has ability and the step back from 600 is what will help him here. This could get messy and he will run on. As will the 5 who gets back but will also capitalise on any trouble. She’s very strong and will descend late. Each way for both dogs. Race 9 No. 2 King Tommy, No. 7 Haras Skipper and No. 6 Cawbourne Roses The Canning Show Cup and very strong field. The 2 is the best dog in the race and he gets a great draw here. Just has to sit up behind 1,4,5 early and his best work will start up the back. The 7 would have been a huge show if he didn’t have the dog in 8 outside him who can step. He can still go well if he can avoid that dog early. He’s going well enough to win this. The 6 is the best smokie in the race and her run last week was a brutal watch. Made ridiculously big ground and will again storm into this for a frame finish with any luck. Race 10 No. 1 Disco Trixie Forget last week. Different story off this box and she can step here and hold a spot up near the arm. She can stay and only has to get around the first turn in a position close to win. Won’t miss the frame at the very least with a good step here. Race 11 No. 2 Sunset Louie Racing well even after no luck last week. Boxed to figure here as he’s a great fence painter. Will drop to the rail immediately and runs through his middle and last section strongly. Hard to hold out here. Race 12 No. 6 Seriously Lush and No. 8 Spider Venom The 6 is close to breaking through. She will go fast again here and sit on the speed. Has a little flat spot but running it out well after that. The 8 is hot and cold but he’s right up to these. Just needs to slot over early and he runs on hard late. Don’t dismiss him against these. GEELONG Race 6 No. 4 Fly Birdie and No. 7 Raven Nighthawk The Geelong Oaks and the 4 was a huge run in her heat. Came from a mile back to charge home up the long straight. She’s a threat here and goes well. The 7 stepped well in her heat but got checked instantly yet still made strong ground after. Another who will improve here. Race 7 No. 7 Westar Commander and No. 2 Crackerjack Bill The 7 is a better one turner than two corners and he has strong form around these types of races. Goes quick after start. Can give them something to chase. The 2 has a huge motor and if he is close they won’t stop him late. Best dog in the race. Race 8 No. 3 Shima Steel and No. 7 Als Entity The Derby final. The 3 has a lot of talent and will step quickly here. Expect him to be much harder to run down this week. The 7 put in a Herculean effort to win his heat. Came from a hopeless spot to drop on the lot of them late. Wins with a clear run. WENTWORTH PARK Race 4 No. 8 Flash As Joe Has a strong formline and ran 2nd to Jay Is Jay not long back. That form alone makes him a huge hope. Can handle the box and gets a good cart over early. Big show. Race 5 No. 6 Black Wizard Slow starts have seen him find first turn trouble but this maps out a bit easier and cleaner and he’s ready to find a forward spot which will see him awfully hard to hold out late. One more go. Race 10 No. 7 Manila Dusk Former VIC dog who is still racing well. Made ground late last time yet can show speed as well when he’s on. Small field suits and will threaten this time much earlier. Top two player. Market Market
