Harry Buchanan’s Saturday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on September 9, 2023September 9, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 3 No. 6 Vander Harley Continues to race well and hit the frame from off the arm. Box not ideal but she finds the fence early and will start her work up the back. Look for her to hit the frame late again. Race 4 No. 2 Tessa Nature Steps up to the 600m for the first time. Former VIC who is a strong type and went ok at her initial run here. Well drawn and could punch up and hold a forward spot. If she gets the trip, she’s a threat place heavy. Race 5 No. 3 Dandalup Blazer and No. 8 Hinto The Spring Gift final. The 3 is a huge show here on the EW basis. Run was super in the heat and his draw isn’t bad here. He can land close early and hit the line to be a huge show. The 8 is airborne and a silly price. Can come from anywhere and will Goes across heels here and starts weaving through the field. Just keeps on coming. Another big threat. Watch the 6 if he crosses, the 2 always a threat and the 1 would be a great story winning. Race 6 No. 5 Barrio Beast and No. 2 Fabs Max Potato Looking for the 5 here to find the top early and go all the way from there. Has the speed and been racing good class. The 2 will look to sweep around from the back and he is very strong. Improves on his first up run here last week and will hit the line late. Race 7 No. 1 Disco Trixie Last chance. Boxed to hold up early and lead or sit right on the speed. Looking for 700m but gets her best chance this time and no excuses if she can’t dispatch this lot. Can step when she wants to and has a good last section. No more if beaten this time. Race 8 No. 8 It’s A Dime and Clifton Cruz The 8 will try and swish across here and lead. Much harder to catch her over this trip if she gets the arm. The 2 will also look to punch up early. Knocked out of it last week when trying to lead and will go better this time. Race 11 No. 1 Spider Venom Outstanding off this box last time. Pushed hard to hold the arm and raced away in fast time. Looks to have come right on lately and boxed to give this an almighty shake again. Very hard to stop. Race 12 No. 2 Finloch Shadows Box much better for him this time. Struggled to get over from the outside last time and can show speed here to hold a forward spot. Good record track and trip and drawn to give himself very hope. THE MEADOWS Race 3 No. 3 Smoke Show and No. 5 Heffernan Bale The 3 has met with big support already today. Gets back but works home hard and gets a good map here. The 5 met with all sorts of trouble last week and pay to ignore that run. Can go much better here and not without a chance if he steps. Race 4 No. 2 Gary Stun On Needs to get through his little flat spot but can figure here. Steps well and has a good record off inside draws and if he can hold through the middle section he can be in the finish. One more go for him. Race 8 No. 7 My Bonneville and No. 2 Triumph The 7 is a good dog. Well drawn and keeps coming over this trip. He can even get up there early. Great show at big odds and don’t dismiss. The 2 is the one to beat all things being equal. Well drawn and has a touch of class here. Save on him at least. Race 9 No. 5 Serena Bale and No. 4 Edsel Bale Looking for the 5 to hit the line again. She steps well and drops back, only to charge home late again. Small field suits. As it does the 4 who could surprise at odds here. Consistent and can show up early and sticks on well. Worth a top 2 play. WENTWORTH PARK Race 7 No. 6 Aussie Rocks and No. 2 Miss Expeditious The 6 is a weapon. Twice led Postman Pat and while he hasn’t been here, he has panels on these in ability. If he leads, handles the track, then it’s over. The 2 will be any old price here and can run a cheeky race off a good box. Runs it in patches but will hit the line if she’s close up the back. Race 8 No. 7 Downtown Zipper Disappointing last week but this is as easy as it gets for him here. Record here is only fair at best and while he takes a bit to wind up, he can drop a big last section. One more go at the EW. Market Market
