CANNINGTON

Race 3 No. 7 Tuta Romeo

Big drop in class here company to what he’s been racing. Has speed and can muster up quickly out wide and with a few fence finders inside him, he will get every chance to cross and hit the frame here.

Race 4 No. 3 Big Girl Kiki

Finally get somewhere closer to the fence. Runs have been good from wide draws and she can land closer this time to make an earlier run up the back. Sticks on well and gets her chance now.

Race 6 No. 5 My My My

Big price here and while she will need some early luck, she’s not out of this. Can get some room off the 4 early and needs to hold her spot to the first turn. Will keep coming and can hit the frame it odds.

Race 7 No. 3 Barossa Rose

Goes around a price again here and better drawn this time. Forget last week. Blocked for a run when trying to get into it and she can land much closer here. Far from hopeless and can give a great sight at the quote.

Race 8 No. 7 All Over Kaisha

Surprised she isn’t shorter here after her win last time and the small field she faces again. Stepping better and getting up there earlier and will again take a lot to hold out if she gets a look at the arm. Can hit top 2 at least.

Race 10 No. 2 Quick Mick and No. 6 Finloch Fernando

The 2 had little luck last time and he’s drawn to go close here. Can show good muster and drawn well close in. The 6 will rely on a good step and he has a very good record track and trip. Will give a sight if he finds the arm and very hard to catch.

Race 11 No. 7 Ice King and No. 4 Opie Monelli

The 7 has found his race and he will come out running here to try and cross. If he does, good luck catching him in this grade. They won’t. The 4 will be one of the descenders from the back and he hits the line hard. Will again look for a frame finish here. The 7 hard to beat however with his best step at box rise.

HEALESVILLE

Race 6 No. 4 Nicholson Bale and No. 1 Gunnai Bold

The Healesville Cup final and what a great field of straight trackers. The 4 is a big smokie here with some of these drawn the wrong way around. He can step fast and has a sublime record here and a clear run will see him in the finish. The 1 is a play here with the wide running 2 dog giving him room. Even though he wants a bit of space to get off the inside himself, he has terrific muster and can stun these. The Healesville bullet in 3 the one to beat while the 7 is a young star on the up. Great race.
