Harry Buchanan’s Saturday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on June 10, 2023June 10, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 1 No. 3 Mongolian Tiger Continues to drop the big last sections to place in these maidens and will do so again. Whether he can wins depends on how quickly he tacks on or trouble in front but few, if any, will hold him off late if he’s breathing down their necks turning. Place heavy go again. Race 5 No. 1 Electrified Boxed win the final here. Should step and hold a very forward position. Just needs to time his hopping off the fence right and not muck around doing it and he should accelerate up the back to put it beyond doubt. The only way he can’t win is if he ends up chasing Elite Machine or Barbecue Man. He could mow the rest down easily. Should score with a clean step to take the Winter Cup home. Race 6 No. 4 Columbus Monelli Last chance. Can not catch him or his kennel mate Crypto and the inconsistency is costly with this bloke alone. Looks a star one week, puts in zero the next. Showed little interest in a Winter cup heat last week but this is easier and giving him one more go to hit top 2. If he doesn’t then it’s too costly to go on with him as a betting proposition. Race 8 No. 6 Poppa Monno Now this is one dog who knows how to put in…..every week. Tragedy rolled two back, monster again last week coming from a minute back and faces a very similar task here with most the field wanting the arm or bust. There is one dog who couldn’t care less if he gets the arm early, and that’s this boy here in 6. Will wind up, drop the big middle section and descend late again. An EW bird to hit the frame. Place heavy but can win. Race 10 No. 3 Armatree Arrow and No. 1 Indy Go Ruby The 3 gets a better draw this time. Has been plagued with horror boxes off this corner start and gets his chance to find the top early and he’s very hard to catch. The 1 was superb last week. Same draw and can drive up to a spot into the back. She’s racing at the top of her game and is a major threat. 3 the bet and 1 the save. THE MEADOWS Race 5 No. 6 Nitro Bale and No. 7 Yankee Costanza A couple at odds who could surprise here. The 6 can wind up into the frame here and goes well around the circuit. Box an issue but has handled them before. Good price. As it is about the 7 who is going well. Needs to bring his early game on song but is running on well and went super last week. Wide box ok and can give a sight. Race 6 No. 7 Zambora Charlie and No. 3 Jigglypuff The 7 will need to cross but is more than capable of running time when he does. Box isn’t that bad here with the smaller field and he can surprise. The 3 continues to race well since stepping up. Just missed last week when not securing the clearest passage and will again hit the frame with a clear run. Race 7 No. 3 Kai Bale Justified the short quote last week with a drubbing of his opponents. Showed speed and agility to land right there only to cut loose again up the back and bolt in. Boxed to repeat and any look up the back will see him deliver another knockout blow. Race 8 No. 2 Kelsey Bale Superstar bitch who can do anything when she gets the room to operate. Boxed to land in front of Amron here and she relishes competition that will see her deliver brilliant splits and overall time. Only needs an ounce of luck to win and will hit top 2 at least if she is untouched. Race 11 No. 3 Shima Stella Has found her very best lately and it’s good, very good. Has gone superb at both Sandown and The Meadows and the draw again perfect here. Musters hard and sustains it throughout once she is wound up. Clear passage and she’s the one to stop again. WENTWORTH PARK Race 4 No. 6 Battle Bjorn Disappointed last week when taking a bit to get into his work. He’s better than that and has form through Len Me Dad and the Egg series. Strong run home and handles wide boxes so just needs a clear room the back and he can at least hit the frame EW. Race 8 No. 1 Father Rick The drop back from 600 ideal and the draw even better. Tracks the 2 up here and with a few wide runners, he will get his chance to lob right where he wants to be first turn behind the 2. Gets into his work well through the middle and can hit top 2 with any luck at all. Market Market
